Stef Lang
Stephanie Lang (born December 30, 1988), currently known by her stage name DYLN and previously known professionally as Stef Lang, is a Canadian Pop/RnB artist, songwriter, and producer based in Los Angeles, California. Lang adopted the stage name DYLN in 2016 and independently released her debut single "Better Things", which Pip Williams of The Line of Best Fit describes as "Sharp, slick electro-pop with a hell of an attitude." Lang wrote and co-produced her latest EP, ''DYLN_02'', released in December 2020, which amassed over a million streams, garnering attention from coveted curated playlists such as New Music Friday and Alternative R&B. The name DYLN comes from a guitar she named Dylan, on which she wrote songs during a depression. The carbon fiber guitar was said to be unbreakable so the singer kept the sentiment as her name. The Hotel Café is a live music venue located off an alley on the Cahuenga Boulevard strip in Hollywood, California, United States, that has become known for helping to establish the careers of new singer-songwriters in the 2000s. Ron Sexsmith
Ronald Eldon Sexsmith (born January 8, 1964) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. He was the songwriter of the year at the 2005 Juno Awards. He began releasing recordings of his own material in 1985 at age 21, and has since recorded seventeen albums. He was the subject of a 2010 documentary called '' Love Shines''. Early life Sexsmith grew up in St. Catharines and started his own band when he was 14 years old. Career Sexsmith was seventeen when he started playing at a bar, the Lion's Tavern, in his hometown. North by Northeast (or NXNE) is an annual music and arts festival held each June in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The festival's main focus is live music, but it also includes an eSports gaming tournament, comedy, a conversations series, a flea market and more.
