Erland Steenberg
Erland Steenberg (11 February 1919 – 11 December 2009) was a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party (Norway), Centre Party. He was born in Nedre Eiker as a son of farmers Christoffer Steenberg (1888–1970) and Anne Severine Åsland (1878–1963). He was employed in the Norges Bank, Bank of Norway in Drammen from 1938 to 1947, and also worked as an auditor until 1968. He was a member of Nedre Eiker municipal council (Norway), municipal council between 1959 and 1967, the last four-year term in the executive committee. He chaired his county branch of the Centre Party from 1960 to 1966, and was deputy leader of the Centre Party nationally from 1967 to 1977 He was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Buskerud in 1965, and was re-elected on two occasions. He had previously as a deputy representative during the terms 1958–1961 and 1961–1965. Per Steenberg
Peder Steenberg (March 17, 1870 – June 28, 1947) was a Norwegian organist and composer from Nedre Eiker, best known for his church music. Life and career Steenberg graduated from the Oslo Music Conservatory and also studied abroad in Leipzig, Berlin, and Copenhagen. In Norway, he served as the organist at Vålerenga Church (1902–1927) and at Saint Mark's Church (1927–1940). For several decades he taught vocal polyphony and counterpoint at the Oslo Conservatory of Music and at the teachers' college and school for the blind in Oslo. His compositions include religious cantatas and choral music, as well as organ music such as preludes, fugues, organ chorales, and similar. A stay in Denmark put him in touch with Thomas Laub, and Steenberg prepared an unauthorized hymnal that was published in 1947 as an innovative alternative to the official hymnal of 1926; it was based on Ludvig Mathias Lindeman's hymnal and was edited by music authorities including Eyvind Alnæs, Ole Mørk San ...

Schack August Steenberg Krogh
Schack August Steenberg Krogh (15 November 1874 – 13 September 1949) was a Danish professor at the department of zoophysiology at the University of Copenhagen from 1916 to 1945. He contributed a number of fundamental discoveries within several fields of physiology, and is famous for developing the Krogh Principle. In 1920 August Krogh was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of the mechanism of regulation of the capillaries in skeletal muscle. Krogh was first to describe the adaptation of blood perfusion in muscle and other organs according to demands through opening and closing the arterioles and capillaries. Besides his contributions to medicine, Krogh was also one of the founders of what is today the Novo Nordisk company. Tommy Steenberg (born November 23, 1988 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American retired figure skater. He won three gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and placed ninth at the 2008 World Junior Championships. Tommy Steenberg is a PSA Master Rated Choreographer and Free Skating Coach. He competed internationally for Team USA for 8 years. His competitive accomplishments include: 3x Junior Grand Prix Champion, 10x national competitor (2001-2010), 3x national medalist (intermediate, novice, and junior), 2008 Regional and Sectional Champion, and 2008 Junior World top 10 finisher. He won the 2010 Young Artists Showcase Choreography Competition and guest choreographed for the Ice Theatre of NY. From 2010-2012, he performed with the George Mason University Dance Company.
