Steen1
Seppo Kalervo Lampela (born 1976 in Helsinki, Finland), professionally known as Steen1, is a Finnish rap musician. He originally chose the name Steen Christensen, after the Danish criminal who shot two Finnish policemen in 1997, as his moniker, but changed it due to controversy. In 2004 Steen1 released his debut album entitled ''Salaliittoteoria'' (''Conspiracy Theory''). In September 2005 his second full-length, ''Varasta pomolta'' (''Steal from the Boss'') was released. His lyrics tend to feature aggressive, anti-establishment social critique. Steen Christensen
Steen Viktor Christensen (born 1964) is a Danish criminal, who was sentenced in Denmark in 1992 to twelve years in prison for numerous bank robberies, hostage taking, and rape. In autumn 1997 Christensen was allowed to go on an unguarded prison furlough, during which he escaped to Finland. On 22 October 1997 Christensen robbed the Hotel Palace in Helsinki, and during his escape from the hotel, he shot and killed two police officers, sergeant Eero Holsti and senior constable Antero Palo, on Tehtaankatu. The incident caused an unprecedented manhunt in Finland. Christensen was caught in Hämeenlinna, when he was leaving the Hotel Vaakuna. He had been living in the hotel under the name Kim Anderssen. On trial at the Helsinki district court, Christensen was assisted by the lawyer Aarno Arvela. The Communist Party of Finland ( fi, Suomen Kommunistinen Puolue, SKP sv, Finlands kommunistiska parti, FKP) or New Communist Party of Finland ( fi, Uusi Suomen Kommunistinen Puolue, USKP sv, Finlands nya kommunistiska parti, FNKP) is a political party in Finland. Finnish hip hop or rap ( fi, suomiräp, räp) or (''suomirap, rap'') is a variant of hip hop music from Finland. The rapping (räppääminen) is mainly done in Finnish. Many rappers use Helsinki slang words; general slang and Finnish dialects are used too by some artists. Many early rappers ( fi, räppäri) used the English language. Some Finnish rap was already recorded in the early 1980s and some popular artists 1990s but it was not until the 2000s that it finally reached mainstream popularity. The first recorded Finnish rap song was "I'm Young, Beautiful and Natural" in the English language which was made by an artist called General Njassa in 1983. Rap music in Finnish language made its first breakthrough in 1990 when groups Raptori and Pääkköset and artist Nikke T got their records to Finnish charts. 2007 Finnish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 18 March 2007. Early voting was possible from the 7–13 March. The 200 members of the Eduskunta were elected from 15 constituencies. Election themes included a reduction of income tax and VAT on food. A proposal for a guaranteed minimum income was introduced by some parties. The election debates were characterised by the high economic growth in Finland in recent years, which was thought to mean the government would have extra money to use on welfare services and transfer payments. Largest advertising budgets were spent by the Coalition Party (€2.46M) and the Center Party (€2.48M) with SDP far behind (€1.37M). Altogether, 2,004 candidates were nominated, 799 of whom were women. Jussi Lampi (born 9 February 1961 in Lappajärvi) is a Finnish musician and long-time actor. Matti Salo (born 1980), professionally known as Asa and previously as Avain, is a Finnish rapper. He is also a member of hip hop and reggae group Jätkäjätkät.
