Steadman (band)
Steadman was a British indie rock band. Steadman's first album, ''Loser Friendly'', was released in the United Kingdom in 2000 on lead singer Simon Steadman's own label, Freeloader Recordings. Steadman released their second album, ''Revive'', in 2003 for Elektra Records. The album was produced by Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider. Personnel * Simon Steadman (lead vocals and guitar) * Russel Field (drums and vocals) * David Walton (bass) * Paul Phillips (guitar) * Ellie Wyatt (strings and keyboard) History Influenced by the Britpop-bands Oasis and Radiohead, Steadman were also compared to The Verve. Jaguar SS100
The SS Jaguar 100 is a British 2-seat sports car built between 1936 and 1939 by SS Cars Ltd of Coventry, England. The manufacturer's name 'SS Cars' used from 1934 maintained a link to the previous owner, Swallow Sidecar, founded in 1922 by Walmsley and Lyons to build motorcycle sidecars. In March 1945 the S. S. Cars shareholders agreed to change the name to Jaguar Cars Limited.S.S. Cars Limited. Barrows-Steadman Homestead
The Barrows-Steadman Homestead is a historic house at the northeast corner of Main and Stuart Streets in Fryeburg, Maine, United States. Built c. 1809, this frame house is a good vernacular example of Federal architecture, but is most notable for the murals painted on the walls of one of its bedrooms by Rufus Porter and Jonathan Poor, noted itinerant painters of the 19th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Description and history The Barrows-Steadman House is a -story timber-frame structure, resting on a fieldstone foundation. It is sheathed in clapboard siding, and has a gable roof pierced by two large internal chimneys. Its main facade, facing Main Street to the northwest, is five bays wide, with a center entry flanked by sidelight windows and Doric pilasters and topped by a fanlight and entablature.
