Static-X Songs
Static-X is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. The line-up has fluctuated over the years, but was long-held constant with band founder, frontman, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Wayne Static until his death in 2014. The band was founded by Wayne Static and original drummer Ken Jay. They rose to fame with their 1999 debut album '' Wisconsin Death Trip'' where their heavy industrial metal sound attracted attention within the burgeoning nu metal movement of the late 1990s, with the album eventually going platinum in the United States. The band released five more albums over the course of the next decade: '' Machine'' in 2001, ''Shadow Zone'' in 2003, ''Start a War'' in 2005, ''Cannibal'' in 2007, and ''Cult of Static'' in 2009. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. Its members consist of record labels and distributors that the RIAA says "create, manufacture, and/or distribute approximately 85% of all legally sold recorded music in the United States". PJ Olsson
Paul Josef Olsson (13 July 1972) is an American singer, most notable as being the lead singer for the Alan Parsons Live Project. He has toured with various artists over his lifetime, including Rufus Wainright, Beth Orton, and Placebo. Biography He was born in Houghton, Michigan to a musical family. His father had a DMA in choral music and was an avant-garde 12-tone composer, A&R executive for Motown Records and later a professor at Michigan Tech; his mother was a music/voice major and schoolteacher. Emerson Swinford
Emerson Swinford, a native of Chicago, is a Los Angeles-based guitarist, composer/songwriter and producer. He is currently a guitarist in the Rod Stewart band, and was formerly a member of the band Drill, a precursor to industrial- nu metal group Static-X. Career Swinford's guitar work can be heard on the 2018 album release by Stewart, called '' Blood Red Roses'', the 2015 release '' Another Country'' and 2013's ''Time''. ''Blood Red Roses'' and ''Time'' both went to number 1 on the UK Albums Chart. ''Another Country'' has since reached Platinum sales and ''Time'' has achieved Double Platinum sales status there. Billy Corgan
William Patrick Corgan Jr. (born March 17, 1967) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and professional wrestling promoter. He is best known as the lead singer, primary songwriter, guitarist, and only permanent member of the rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. He is currently the owner and promoter of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Corgan formed The Smashing Pumpkins in Chicago in 1988 along with guitarist James Iha, followed by bassist D'arcy Wretzky and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin. ''Pighammer'' is the only solo album by American musician Wayne Static, released on October 4, 2011, through Dirthouse Records, and the final album released during his lifetime. It debuted at number 97 on the ''Billboard'' 200 with first-week sales of 4,700. ''Cult of Static'' is the sixth studio album by industrial metal band Static-X. It was released on March 17, 2009 via Reprise Records. The album's first single "Stingwray" was released and made available on the band's MySpace page on February 17, 2009. The album's title is a reference to the die-hard fans who have supported the band for so long. This would be Static-X's last studio album for eleven years, as well as the last to feature drummer Nick Oshiro and founding member and vocalist Wayne Static during his lifetime, though the latter's posthumously released work was included on the band's 2020 album '' Project: Regeneration Vol. 1''. ''Cannibal'' is the fifth studio album by Static-X, released on April 3, 2007. This is the first album from the band to contain guitar solos; every song with the exception of "Goat" has one. ''Cannibal'' was the first album to be produced by John Travis, and the first album to not feature Ulrich Wild, who produced and/or mixed the band's first four albums.
