Stateless (band)
Stateless are an English electronic band, founded in 2002 and based in Leeds and London. The group comprises Chris James (vocals, keyboards, guitars), kidkanevil (turntables, sampling, programming), Justin Percival (bass guitar, vocals) and David Levin (drums). Stateless earned a recording contract with Sony Music and released their first single "Down Here" in 2004. The four-track EP ''The Bloodstream EP'' was released on Regal Recordings in 2005. In 2006 Stateless changed in line-up and signed with label !K7 Records. Single "Exit" was released in 2007, followed by their self-titled debut album ''Stateless (Stateless album), Stateless''. There were two other singles from this album; "Prism No. 1" and "Bloodstream". Leeds
Leeds () is a city and the administrative centre of the City of Leeds district in West Yorkshire, England. It is built around the River Aire and is in the eastern foothills of the Pennines. It is also the third-largest settlement (by population) in England, after London and Birmingham. The city was a small manorial borough in the 13th century and a market town in the 16th century. It expanded by becoming a major production centre, including of carbonated water where it was invented in the 1760s, and trading centre (mainly with wool) for the 17th and 18th centuries. Matilda (album)
''Matilda'' is the second studio album released by Stateless on Ninja Tune. The physical album included two CDs; the second disc containing an instrumental version of album. The album was also released as a 2LP set. The digital release that accompanied the physical CD included a bonus track called "Matilda." Critical reception Rick Anderson of AllMusic gave the album 3.5 out of 5 stars, writing: "The band's sophomore debut tempts fate with a nearly 30-second fade-in (you may think you have a defective disc on your hands, but wait for it), then takes off into a crazy welter of power ballad, electro-glitch, dubstep, atonal, acoustic-based, waltz-funk weirdness that occasionally gets tiring but rarely stops being interesting." BBC Radio 1 is a British national radio station owned and operated by the BBC. It specialises in modern popular music and current chart hits throughout the day. Scottish People
The Scots ( sco, Scots Fowk; gd, Albannaich) are an ethnic group and nation native to Scotland. Leeds Metropolitan University
Leeds Beckett University (LBU), formerly known as Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU) and before that as Leeds Polytechnic, is a public university in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Autechre () is an English electronic music duo consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both from Rochdale, Greater Manchester.
