State Route 100 (SR 100) is a west–east state highway in both West Tennessee and Middle Tennessee that connects Whiteville with Nashville. It is long. Route description Hardeman County SR 100 begins as a primary highway in West Tennessee in Hardeman County at an intersection with US 64/SR 15 in Whiteville. Then SR 100 leaves Whiteville heading east but slightly northward before crossing the Hatchie River. SR 100 then has an intersection with SR 138 just north of Toone. Shortly afterwards, it has an interchange with SR 18 and shortly thereafter enters Chester County. State Route 47 (SR 47) is a Tennessee State Highway located entirely within Dickson County. SR 47 is generally traversed only in part; the two termini are in fact only about eight miles (13 km) distant from each other, and are impracticable as a route from end-to-end, as the distance the highway runs is over twice this long. Route description State Route 47 begins as a secondary highway at an intersection with State Route 48 slightly southeast of downtown Dickson near the Fairgrounds. In the Dickson city limits, it is known as East Walnut Street. Outside of Dickson, the road runs east through the communities of Colesburg and Burns. From Burns it runs east past the southern entrance to Montgomery Bell State Park in the Bakersworks community and then onto an intersection with U.S. Route 70 in western White Bluff. State Route 48 (SR 48) is a long north–south state highway in Middle Tennessee. It traverses six counties, and it is long. Route description Wayne, Perry, and Lewis Counties SR 48 begins as a primary state route in far northern Wayne County at a junction with SR 13. Then it travels through the southeastern corner of Perry County before entering Lewis County to intersect SR 20, and then U.S. Route 412 (US 412) and SR 99 in Hohenwald. State Route 1 (SR 1), known as the Memphis to Bristol Highway, is a mostly-Unsigned highway, unsigned State highway (US), state highway in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It stretches all the way from the Arkansas state line at Memphis, Tennessee, Memphis in the southwest corner of the state to Bristol, Tennessee, Bristol in the northeast part. State Route 235 (SR 235) is a long north-south state highway in Middle Tennessee. It connects Dickson to Cunningham via Sylvia, Vanleer, and Slayden. Route description SR 235 begins in Dickson County as the unsigned companion route of US 70 Business in Dickson at an intersection with US 70/ SR 1 (Henslee Drive/College Street). They go west along College Street to pass through a business district and by a hospital to have an intersection with SR 46 (Mathis Drive). State Route 49 (SR 49) is a state highway in Tennessee. The route forms a broad southern arc that passes through the rural Middle Tennessee towns of Dover, Erin, Charlotte, Ashland City, Pleasant View, and Springfield. Route description SR 49 begins in Stewart County in downtown Dover at a junction with US 79/ SR 76 as a primary highway. It goes east, paralleling the Cumberland River before turning south and having an intersection with SR 233. It then goes through some farmland and hills before crossing into Houston County. Cumberland Fossil Plant
Cumberland Fossil Plant is a pulverized coal- fired power station located west of Cumberland City, Tennessee, USA, on the south bank of Lake Barkley on the Cumberland River. Owned and operated by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), it has a gross capacity of 2,470 MW, and is the most powerful power station in Tennessee. Description Commissioned in 1968, the Cumberland Fossil Plant contains two identical units, rated at 1.235 GWe gross each, Units 1 and 2 were launched into service in March and November 1973, respectively. In 2004, the two units accounted for almost 12% of TVA's total electricity generation. As of the mid 2010s, however, TVA's Sequoyah Nuclear Plant near Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, with a slightly lower capacity, was generating more power.
