The Star Awards for Best Evergreen Artiste is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994. The category was introduced in 2016, at the 22nd Star Awards ceremony; Chen Shucheng received the award for his performance in ''Super Senior'' and it is given in honour of a Mediacorp veteran artiste who has delivered an outstanding performance in their field of profession. In order to be nominated for the award, the artiste must be over 50 years in age and has garnered over 25 years of performing experience in the industry. The nominees of the award are still eligible to run for other performing categories. The nominees are determined by a team of judges employed by Mediacorp; winners are selected by a majority vote from the entire judging panel. Huang Biren
Huang Biren (born 7 March 1969) is a Singaporean actress best known for appearing in numerous MediaCorp Channel 8 television dramas. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1988 to 2008, but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis. Huang left Mediacorp on 30 June 2008, due to the new contract terms offered to her and she also wanted to spend more time with her family, especially her 5-month-old infant girl. Career Huang joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now MediaCorp) in 1988 after completing its Professional Drama Performers' Training course. Star Awards 2017 (also SA2017, Chinese: 红星大奖2017) is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by Mediacorp for free-to-air channels Channels 8 and U. The Road to Star Awards 2017 was broadcast live on 26 March, and 2 and 9 April 2017. Jin Yinji
Gam Ngan Gei (born 17 June 1946), better known as Jin Yinji, is a Singaporean actress of South Korean descent. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1986 to 2017 but continued to film on an ad-hoc basis. Jin's contract with Mediacorp expired in February 2017. Chew Chor Meng
Chew Chor Meng (born 20 November 1968), better known as Zhou Chuming, is a Singaporean actor. He is one of the first batch of actors to receive the All-Time Favourite Artiste award with Zoe Tay & Li Nanxing. Star Awards 2019 marks the 25th anniversary, or Silver Jubilee, of the Star Awards since it was first awarded in 1994, hence subtitled ''Star Awards 25''. Star Awards 2018 (also SA2018SG, Chinese: 红星大奖2018) is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. The Post Party and Ceremony Awards was broadcast live on 22 April 2018. A total of 15 awards were handed out during the ceremony, among which the Special Achievement Award, an award given out to a celebrity in recognition to meritorious contribution, returned after a 15-year absence, with the award last presented in 2003, in the place of All-Time Favourite Artiste, which was not presented this year, and the third ceremony overall, after 2007 and 2013. Rayson Tan
Rayson Tan (; born 12 January 1965) is a Singaporean actor. Career Before joining MediaCorp, Tan worked as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines. In 1990, he emerged as the 2nd Runner-Up in Singapore's Star Search Singapore talent competition.
