Star Awards 2021 (Chinese: 红星大奖2021) is a television award ceremony held in Singapore on 18 April 2021, to honour the best Singaporean television, released between January 2019 and December 2020. The ceremony was delayed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic The Star Awards 2021 is in its 26th edition, with the theme ''connect'' 星起点, showing the role that the media companies and other industry partners are playing in engaging television audiences during the COVID-19 pandemic in Singapore during the previous year. Period drama ''A Quest to Heal'' won five awards including Best Drama Serial, Best Lead and Supporting Actors, Best Theme Song, and Best Director, the last of which was awarded in an unaired Backstage Achievement Award. Hong Ling (born Somaline Ang Ling; ; 16 August 1994) is a Singaporean actress. Early life and education Born to a Thai mother and a Singaporean Chinese father, Hong graduated from Fuchun Secondary School. She has two siblings, one of whom is a younger brother. She was scouted while studying at Temasek Polytechnic, though she disrupted her studies due to career interest as an actress. Marcus Chin
Marcus Chin On Kang (, born 22 September 1953) is a Singaporean host, actor and singer. He left Mediacorp as a full-time artiste. Career Chin joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation during the 1970s. Edmund Tay Kok Peng (born 27 May 1964), also known as Zheng Geping, is a Singaporean actor and executive producer managed under The Celebrity Agency. He works on the Chinese-language Channel 8. The Star Awards for All-Time Favourite Artiste is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994. History The category was introduced in 2004, at the 11th Star Awards ceremony; Chew Chor Meng, Li Nanxing and Zoe Tay received the award after winning the Top 10 Most Popular Male or Female Artistes award from 1994 to 2003. Zhang Ze Tong
Zhang Zetong (, born Teoh Ze Tong, 22 January 1993), is a Malaysian actor, singer and presenter based in Singapore. Ng Kwee Khim (; born 1 July 1967), best known by her stage name Kym Ng (), is a Singaporean television host and actress. She is known as one of Mediacorp’s Variety Ah Jies (综艺阿姐).
