Star Awards 2018 (also SA2018SG, Chinese: 红星大奖2018) is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. The Post Party and Ceremony Awards was broadcast live on 22 April 2018. A total of 15 awards were handed out during the ceremony, among which the Special Achievement Award, an award given out to a celebrity in recognition to meritorious contribution, returned after a 15-year absence, with the award last presented in 2003, in the place of All-Time Favourite Artiste, which was not presented this year, and the third ceremony overall, after 2007 and 2013. The ceremony saw ''When Duty Calls'' winning the most awards (five), among which they were Best Theme Song, Best Director, Best Drama Serial, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress; ''The Lead'' was the second-biggest winning drama serial, clinching the two other major categories plus Young Talent award, for a total of three. The Simmons Bedding Company is an American major manufacturer of mattresses and related bedding products, based in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2012, Simmons and its sister company Serta International were acquired by American private equity company Advent International. As of 2022, Simmons is a subsidiary of the American company Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC of Doraville, Georgia.

''Star Awards 2003'' was an awards ceremony part of the annual Star Awards held by MediaCorp Channel 8 on 7 December 2003. The tenth installment of ''Star Awards'' were hosted by Timothy Chao for the sixth consecutive ceremony, along with current affairs hostess and nominee for the Best News and Current Affairs Presenter Chun Guek Lay. The ceremony gave away 27 awards, six of which were awarded in the Backstage Ceremony and the rest on the main ceremony. The Backstage Ceremony does not have presenters giving out the awards. The awards which would be presented for the last time this ceremony were Malaysia's Favourite Artistes, Malaysia's Favourite Drama Serial, and Special Achievement Award, although these awards were later returned with a revised category, such as Favorite Male and Female Character, Most Popular Regional Artiste, and Social Media Award, and these awards would be awarded on a first show when the show was revamped into a two-show format between 2010 till 2016. The Star Awards for Best Theme Song is an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994. The category was introduced in 1997, at the 4th Star Awards ceremony; Sebastian Tan received the award for his theme song, 《和平的代价》 in ''The Price of Peace'' and it is given in honour of a theme song in a Mediacorp drama serial which has delivered an outstanding overall performance. The nominees are determined by a team of judges employed by Mediacorp. Prior to 2014, winners are selected by a majority vote from the entire judging panel. This rule was amended from 2014 onwards such that winners are selected by a majority vote from both the entire judging panel and the public via online voting.
