The Star Awards for Best Info-Ed Programme Host was an award presented annually at the Star Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1994. The category was introduced in 2009, at the 15th Star Awards ceremony; Belinda Lee received the award for her performance in ''Come Dance with Me'' and it is given in honour of a Mediacorp host who has delivered an outstanding performance in an info-ed programme. The nominees were determined by a team of judges employed by Mediacorp; winners are selected by a majority vote from the entire judging panel. Since its inception, the award was given to six hosts. Quan Yi Fong is the most recent and final winner in this category for her performance in ''Where to Stay''. Belinda Lee is the only host to win in this category twice. Star Awards
The Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit in the media organisation Mediacorp of Singapore where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. The star was subsequently removed and the trophy is designed as a S shaped column, depicting the star. History The 1st Star Awards presentation was held on 26 February 1994, took place at the Caldecott Broadcast Centre, MediaCorp TV Theatre with an audience of about 500 people. There have no other pre-show and post-awards ceremony held in that year. Winners were announced during the presentation of the ceremony, the ceremony also presented a popularity contest, with Li Nanxing, Chew Chor Meng and Zoe Tay winning the Most Popular Actor and Actress award, respectively. Lin Youyi (born Iriana Halim; 11 October 1980), is a Singaporean television host, current affairs presenter, and an actress. Jerry Yeo (, born 29 June 1986) is a Singaporean actor. He was a versatile full-time Mediacorp artiste, actor and TV host from 2007 to 2014. Career Yeo joined Star Search 2007 whilst a freshman at Nanyang Technological University and was first runner-up. Cavin Soh
Cavin Soh (, born 17 November 1970) (苏智诚/苏志诚 Su Zhi Cheng previous name) is a Singaporean actor, host, watch dealer and singer. Career Soh used to be a lead singer in the band Dreamz FM (梦飞船) and a radio deejay on MediaCorp's Chinese language station Y.E.S. 93.3FM before switching to television and acting. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for the two free-to-air channels, MediaCorp Channels 8 and U.
