Stanhope is a town in north central Victoria, Australia. Stanhope is from Shepparton. It lies north of the state capital Melbourne and south west of Canberra the capital city of Australia. At the , Stanhope had a population of 828. History The Post Office opened on 21 May 1917 but was known as Lauderdale until 1920. Today Like many towns in this area of Victoria, it relies heavily on its dairy production, and farming. A large dairy processing plant lies in the centre of the town. The electoral district of Euroa is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly in Australia. It was created in the redistribution of electoral boundaries in 2013. It was a new district created due to the abolition of the districts of Seymour, Rodney and Benalla, taking in the areas to the north of these districts toward Shepparton. The Kyabram District Football League (KDL) is an Australian rules football league in Victoria. It is made up of 15 teams; the most recent additions include Dookie United in 2018 and Shepparton East in 2019. The KDL is made up of smaller country town football clubs in the Goulburn Valley.
