Stamatis Kalamiotis ( el, Σταμάτης Καλαμιώτης; born on 23 April 1990) is a Greek footballer who last played for Aiolikos in the Football League (Greece) as a defender. Career Born in Athens, Kalamiotis began playing football for local side AEK Athens. He made his debut for AEK in October 2010 in the Greek Cup against Panthrakikos. The 2010–11 Greek Football Cup was the 69th edition of the Greek Football Cup. A total of 67 clubs had been accepted to enter, after the withdrawal of Egaleo, Kalamata and Pyrsos Grevena and their relegation to Delta Ethniki. The competition commenced on 4 September 2010 with the First Round and concluded on 30 April 2011 with the Final, held at Olympic Stadium. The final was contested by Atromitos and AEK Athens, with AEK winning 3-0. Panthrakikos Football Club ( el, Α.Π.Σ. Πανθρακικός) is a Greek football club based in Komotini, Thrace in North Eastern Greece founded in 1963. The club competed in Super League Greece during the 2008–09 season for the first time. History Early years (1963–2001) Panthrakikos F.C. was formed in the town of Komotini in 1963. Athlitiki Enosis Komotini (Athletic Union of Komotini) which was founded in 1936, and Orpheus Komotini which was founded in 1948 were merged with Panthrakikos in 1963 and 1964 respectively. Aiolikos Football Club () is a Greek association football club, based in Mytilene. They currently play on the 6th group of Gamma Ethniki. History The club was established in 1975 after a merger of two local teams – Atlantas and Apollon. The name Aiolikos was inspired by the Aeolians, the name by which the Greek inhabitants of Lesbos and nearby Aeolis, Anatolia, have been known since antiquity. Incidentally, there was also a Greek football club called Aiolikos that was based in Smyrna ( Izmir), around 1890, which would often play matches against teams of visiting British sailors.
