Stamatis Benas
Stamatis Benas (alternate spelling: Mpenas) (, ; born October 14, 1985) is a Greek professional basketball player. Benas has spent his entire career in the Greek leagues. He has represented Greece men's national under-18 basketball team, Greece at youth level. Professional career Benas started playing basketball at the ranks of Aris BC, Aris Thessaloniki. At the senior level he began playing basketball for ''Galaxias Adendro'', an amateur team. He started playing professionally in 2007 when he joined M.E.N.T. B.C., MENT of the Greek A2 Basketball League, Greek A2 League. In 2010 he moved to K.A.O.D. B.C., KAOD, gaining promotion to the Greek Basket League in 2011. He played for three seasons in the top tier of Greek basketball, in which he appeared in 57 games averaging 2.3 points per game, points and 1.5 rebounds per game. The power forward (PF), also known as the four, is one of the five traditional Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. Traditionally, power forwards have played a role similar to center (basketball), centers and are typically the tallest or second tallest player on the court. Greek B Basket League
The Greek B Basket League, or Greek B Basketball League (Greek language, Greek: Ελληνική Β Μπασκετ Λιγκ), is a national basketball league in Greece. It is the Greek basketball league system, 3rd-tier level of the basketball league system in Greece, and was founded in its current form in 1986. It is also known as National League 1. It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). Originally, the league began in 1961, as the ''Greek National B Class Championship'', and it was the 2nd-tier level of Greek basketball until 1986, when it was replaced in that capacity by the Greek A2 Basket League.
