Stafford Challenge Cup
The Stafford Challenge Cup is an Indian football tournament held in Karnataka, organized by the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA). Instituted in 1938, it is the oldest football tournament in South India. The tournament was abolished in 1993, but was revived in 2023. History The Stafford Challenge Cup was introduced by Staffordshire Regiment in 1938 in Bengaluru. They also donated the silver rolling trophy. Bangalore Muslim Club was the first Indian club to win it in 1941. In 1990, the Iraqi Olympic team won the tournament but didn't return the trophy since the cup was lost during the Gulf War. The Karnataka State Football Association (abbreviated KSFA), formerly the Mysore Football Association, is one of the 37 Indian state football associations that are affiliated to the All India Football Federation. Chennaiyin FC Reserves And Academy
Chennaiyin Football Club Reserves and Academy also known as Chennaiyin FC B is the youth system of Indian Super League side Chennaiyin. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the reserve side was founded on 12 January 2018 and participated in I-League 2nd Division, the second division of Indian football. Club's academy teams were founded on 28 August 2017 and under 18 side participates in Youth League U18, the highest level for youth football in India.
