Chennaiyin FC Reserves And Academy
Chennaiyin Football Club Reserves and Academy also known as Chennaiyin FC B is the youth system of Indian Super League side Chennaiyin. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the reserve side was founded on 12 January 2018 and participated in I-League 2nd Division, the second division of Indian football. Club's academy teams were founded on 28 August 2017 and under 18 side participates in Youth League U18, the highest level for youth football in India. They also sometimes join the Chennai Football League. The reserve side is currently coached by Cleofas Alex, who also runs all of the youth development for Chennaiyin. Reserves History On 12 January 2018, it was announced by Chennaiyin, a club that competes in the Indian Super League, that they would form a "B" team that would serve as their reserve team. Santosh Kashyap
Santosh Kashyap is a football manager who is current head coach of Chennaiyin FC B. During his professional career, he represented India in international level and Mahindra United in the National Football League. Previously, he has been youth coach at Mahindra United and Mohun Bagan. Coaching career After the end of his playing career, Kashyap went into coaching. His first job was as the Mahindra United U-19 coach. During his last season with the Mahindra Youth Team he guided them to the Super Division title in the Mumbai Football League. AIFF Elite Academy
The AIFF Elite Academy is the elite academy of the overall AIFF Academies. Started on 1 February 2013, the Elite Academy was started under a youth development project that was started between the AIFF and FIFA. The Elite Academy is the final frontier for players who train at the AIFF Regional Academies in various parts of India. History In September 2011, it was announced that both the All India Football Federation and FIFA would work together to set up various regional academies and one elite academy in India with the goal to develop footballers in the country.
