Stacy Clark
Stacy Clark (born September 21, 1980) is an American singer-songwriter born in Buffalo, New York. Beginnings Clark was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Self-taught, Clark stood out in the Buffalo music scene and was often compared to the next Ani DiFranco. In 2004, Clark packed her bags and made the long drive from NYC to California to further pursue a career in music. Clark landed a production deal off of her songwriting, and went into the studio with producer Ian Kirkpatrick to record EP ''Unusual''. In 2007, Clark went back into the studio with Kirkpatrick to create her album ''Apples & Oranges''. Without the help of a record label, she worked full-time to fund the album. The album was released November 20 and many of the songs off the album where featured on television including MTV and CBS. ''The Glass Passenger'' is the second studio album by American rock band Jack's Mannequin. Frontman Andrew McMahon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in mid-2005 following the recording of their debut album ''Everything in Transit''. While touring, McMahon suffered from writer's block, which did not dissipate until mid-2006; many of the songs that would appear on ''The Glass Passenger'' were written mid-to-late 2007. Further writing sessions were held when a number of the dates were cancelled due to McMahon suffering from exhaustion and fatigue. ''The Glass Passenger'' was produced by McMahon and Jim Wirt and co-produced by CJ Eiriksson; the tracking marked the first time McMahon worked with the band in the studio. The Duke Spirit are an English rock band based in London. Band of Skulls are an English rock band from Southampton, consisting of Russell Marsden (guitar, vocals) and Emma Richardson ( bass, vocals); Matt Hayward (drums; 2002–2016) was previously a member. Monsters of Folk was an American supergroup, consisting of Jim James from My Morning Jacket, Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis from Bright Eyes, Will Johnson from Centro-matic and M. Pretenders are an English–American rock band formed in March 1978. The original band consisted of founder and main songwriter Chrissie Hynde (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), James Honeyman-Scott (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), Pete Farndon (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Martin Chambers (drums, backing vocals, percussion). Following the deaths of Honeyman-Scott in 1982 and Farndon in 1983, the band experienced numerous personnel changes; Hynde has been the band's only consistent member.
