''Stack Is the New Black'' is the debut studio album by Australian pop punk band Short Stack, released through Sunday Morning Records on 14 August 2009. It peaked at number 1 on the ARIA Charts and was certified gold in Australia in 2011. The album was released on vinyl for the first time in July 2023. Release The album's track listing was announced on 12 June 2009 through the band's website. The same day the album was also made available for pre-order, with all pre-orders before 17 July receiving a personal phone call from the band, and their name printed in the album's booklet. JB Hi-Fi online also offered a pre-order of a signed album with a free shirt, guitar picks, poster and stickers. Both songs "The Back of My Head" and "Thick as Thieves" were both written in the band's early years. Short Stack
Short Stack are an Australian pop punk band. The band consists of members Shaun Diviney (lead vocals, guitar), Andy Clemmensen (bass, backing vocals) and Bradie Webb (drums). Shannon Hotchkins was also a member of Short Stack before any song was performed or recorded. Short Stack were twice named Channel V Oz Artist of the Year, and produced two gold-selling albums, three top ten singles, a ARIA number one chart award and a platinum-selling single. The group split in 2012, and their former label released ''Art Vandelay'' the following year without any promotion. In April 2014, the band announced their reformation and shortly released "Television". "Amy" was released as the lead single from third studio album ''Homecoming'' in August 2015. "Princess" is a song by Australian pop punk Musical ensemble, band, Short Stack. It was released in February 2009 as the second single from their debut studio album, ''Stack Is the New Black''. Music video A music video for this single takes place in the same white room for the entire duration of the video. It showcases all three members of Short Stack playing their music meanwhile being surrounded by people dancing dressed up in various animal suits such as a rabbit and bear. Two other people are also spotted in the video, one being dressed in an Elvis inspired costume and the other in a Mexican costume. Towards the end of the video, the lead singer, Shaun Diviney results in hooking up with the person in the rabbit suit as well as himself. "Sway, Sway Baby!" is a song by Australian pop-punk band, Short Stack. It was released in July 2009 as the third single from their debut studio album, '' Stack Is the New Black''. It was released to coincide with the release of their album and their Sway, Sway Baby! National Tour on 17 July 2009. The single was available for pre-order on Short Stack's official website. Upon pre-order, each person received a personally signed copy of the single. The single received airplay on the Today Network's ''Hot30 Countdown'' and Nova 96.9 but was first played on '' The Leaked with Matty and Renee'' before being moved to their other show ''The Hit List with Matty and Renee''.
