Damian Stachowicz
Damian Stachowicz (June 23, 1658 in Sokołów Małopolski – November 27, 1699 in Łowicz) was a Polish composer. His baptismal name was Jan (Joannes). At the age of 17 he entered the monastic order of the Piarists in Rzeszów and took on the name Damian of the Most Holy Trinity (Damianus à SS. Trinitate). On 9 June 1675 he received the religious habit, and as early as 6 August of the same year he arrived at Podolinec, where he stayed until 1677 teaching the classes in poetry and rhetoric, as well as performing musical tasks. Since 1678 he had resided in the monastery in Prievidza, and studied philosophy and theology. Most probably he was still occupied with music (which we can surmise on the basis of a large number of compositions mentioned in the music inventory of that place). In the years 1681–1690 he worked in Warsaw where on 21 December 1685 he was ordained to the priesthood. Mary Stachowicz (; 1951 – November 13, 2002) was a Polish American woman and mother of four, who on November 13, 2002 was murdered by Nicholas Gutierrez in Chicago, Illinois. Murder On November 13, 2002, Stachowicz attended Mass at the Basilica of St. Hyacinth in the Chicago neighborhood of Avondale before beginning a favor as a Polish–English translator at the Sikorski Funeral Home, where Gutierrez worked as a janitor. Nineteen-year-old Gutierrez tipped police off when he speculated he thought someone had killed her and stuffed her body in the building's crawlspace. He was working at the funeral parlor and had recently been laid off and was being evicted. Area 5 Cmdr. Alexey Stakhovich
Alexey Alexandrovich Stakhovich (russian: Алексей Александрович Стахович; 2 February 1856 – 10 March 1919) was a high-ranking Imperial Russian Chevalier Guard Regiment officer who in the early 1900s became a popular stage actor, associated with Moscow Art Theatre. Biography Born in Saint Petersburg to a well-off noble Oryol-based family with strong artistic traditions (his grandfather was a published playwright, father admired Italian opera and French comedy), Stakhovich made a successful career in the military and was a one-time adjutant for Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich of Russia. Retired from the service in 1907 as a major general, he became a co-manager of the Moscow Art Theatre which he had been a co-owner of, since 1902. Mikhail Aleksandrovich Stakhovich
Mikhail Aleksandrovich Stakhovich (russian: Михаи́л Алекса́ндрович Стахо́вич; 20 January 1861, in Oryol Governorate – 23 September 1923, in Aix-en-Provence) was a Russian politician. Stakhovich was elected to the Duma in 1906 as an Octobrist and again to the second Duma in 1907, leading the Party of Peaceful Renovation. He was appointed Governor-General of Finland by the Russian Provisional Government on 20 March 1917 after the job was refused by Vladimir Dmitrievich Nabokov amongst others. He resigned on 17 September. After the Governor-General's post, Stakhovich was pointed as Ambassador to Madrid but he never reached the destination before the October Revolution. Stakhovich died in exile in Aix-en-Provence, France in 1923. He was buried in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery, in the southern suburbs of Paris.
