Third Order Of Saint Francis
The Third Order of Saint Francis is a third order in the Franciscan tradition of Christianity, founded by the medieval Catholic Church in Italy, Italian Catholic friar Francis of Assisi. The preaching of Francis and his disciples caused many married men and women to want to join the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor, First Order as friar or the Order of Saint Clare, Second Order as a nun. Those following this rule became members of the Franciscan Third Order, sometimes called tertiaries. The Third Order is divided into Third Order Regular of Saint Francis of Penance, Third Order Regulars, who live in religious congregations, and Third Order Seculars or the Secular Franciscan Order, who live in fraternity, fraternities. The latter do not wear a religious habit, take vows, or live in community, but gather together in community on a regular ba ...

Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, color or other medium to a solid surface (called the "matrix" or "support"). In art, the term ''painting ''describes both the act and the result of the action (the final work is called "a painting"). The support for paintings includes such surfaces as walls, paper, canvas, wood, glass, lacquer, pottery, leaf, copper and concrete, and the painting may incorporate multiple other materials, including sand, clay, paper, plaster, gold leaf, and even whole objects.
