St. Petersburg Kickers
The St. Petersburg Kickers FC are an amateur American soccer team from St. Petersburg, Florida that compete in the Florida Suncoast Soccer League (FSSL). They are notable as the first team from Florida to win the U.S. Open Cup. History Founded by Kurt Herbach in 1957, the Kickers won their first national title, the Over-30 championship, in 1967. By 1989, the team had won eleven Florida Suncoast Soccer League championships and four Florida State Cups. The club's most prestigious victory came on the national stage winning the 1989 National Challenge Cup (now known as US Open Cup). In 1997, the team moved to Land o' Lakes, Florida, eventually taking the name of Florida Kickers FC. That year the club won both the National Amateur Cup and the National Over-30 championship. George Fotopoulos
George Fotopoulos is an American soccer coach with Greek background. He coached the Louisiana State University (LSU) women's soccer team from 2000 to 2004. Fotopoulos went 52–39–14 in five years at LSU, posting a 12–28–6 record in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He began his career at LSU in 2000 after two years as head coach at his alma mater, the University of Tampa posting a 20–14 record. In 2008, Fotopoulos became Director of Coaching and player development for girls for Tampa Bay United Soccer Club and is now a director at Florida Premier FC. Garth Pollonais
Garth Pollonais is a retired Trinidad and Tobago football (soccer) forward who played professionally in both Trinidad and the United States. Early career Pollonais grew up in Trinidad. He attended St. Augustine Senior Secondary High School where he was captain of the boys' soccer team in 1981 and the 1981 Trinidad and Tobago National High School Player of the Year. He also played for a variety of amateur teams including the Maple Soccer Club, Tacarigua United and Malt Carib Soccer Academy. In 1986, Pollonais entered Erskine College in South Carolina where he played four seasons of men's soccer. He was a four-time All-American and scored 88 career goals, adding 40 assists. He graduated in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in behavioural science and was inducted into the Erskine Hall of Fame in 2001. Juan Pablo Reyes (born August 2, 1985) is an Ecuadorian footballer who currently plays for Florida Tropics SC in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career Youth and amateur Reyes grew up in Florida, attending William R. Boone High School where he was an All State soccer player, and playing club soccer for the Ajax American soccer club. Tanner Wolfe (born September 17, 1985 in Dunedin, Florida) is an American association football, soccer player who plays for Tampa Marauders, Tampa Maraunders. Joey Valenti (born August 29, 1968) is a retired American soccer midfielder who played on the U.S. team at the 1985 FIFA U-16 World Championship. Valenti attended A. P. Leto High School in Tampa, Florida where he was a 1986 Parade Magazine High School All American soccer player. Valenti and his teammates won the 1985 Florida State 4A soccer championship. Andrew Restrepo (born October 8, 1970) is a retired American soccer defender who played one season with the MetroStars in Major League Soccer. He is currently a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Tampa men's team. Restrepo played college soccer aLees McRaein 1989 and 1990 then transferred to University of South Florida in 1991 and 1992. In 1993, Restrepo signed with the Orlando Lions in the USISL.
