St. George Dukes
The St. George Dukes are a Junior ice hockey team based in St. George, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. History The Dukes were founded in 1994 as members of the OHA Junior Development League. In 2006, the OHAJDL was dissolved and the Dukes joined the Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League. The Dukes have been working with the Cambridge Winter Hawks Jr.B club for many years. And for that, have brought in such former Winter Hawk players as Chris Vasile, Shawn Little, and Andrew Swaniga. In the summer of 2012, the Dukes, as members of the SOJHL, were promoted to Junior C official by the OHA. Instead of staying with their long time league, the Dukes switched from the SOJHL to the Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League to replace the departed Caledonia Corvairs. Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League
The Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League is a former Junior "C" ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada, sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association. The Champion of the Niagara competed for the All-Ontario Championship and the Clarence Schmalz Cup. In the summer of 2016, the NDJCHL merged into the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History The Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League was formed in 1974. Although corresponding with the founding of the Golden Horseshoe Junior Hockey League, the Niagara District league was actually founded by removing the Niagara-area teams from the Central Junior C Hockey League and placing them in the new Niagara District league. Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. Yellow
Yellow is the color between green and orange on the spectrum of light. It is evoked by light with a dominant wavelength of roughly 575585 nm. Junior Ice Hockey
Junior hockey is a level of competitive ice hockey generally for players between 16 and 21 years of age. Junior hockey leagues in the United States and Canada are considered amateur (with some exceptions) and operate within regions of each country. The Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) is the governing body for the majority of junior and senior level ice hockey teams in the Province of Ontario. The OHA is sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Federation along with the Northern Ontario Hockey Association. The Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League (SOJHL) is a former Canadian Junior ice hockey league sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association based out of Southwestern Ontario. Prior to the 2012-13 season, the SOJHL was promoted to the Junior C level. In the summer of 2016, the SOJHL was merged into the Provincial Junior Hockey League. Cambridge Winter Hawks
The Cambridge Winter Hawks were a Canada, Canadian junior hockey, junior ice hockey team based in Cambridge, Ontario, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Mid-Western division of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. History Created in 1982, the team was made to replace the last Cambridge team that was bought out by the Guelph Dominators, Guelph Platers and moved out of town. The Caledonia Corvairs were a Canadian junior hockey team based in Caledonia, Ontario, Canada. They were playing in the Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League. On May 23, 2012, the Brantford Eagles relocated and became the Junior B Caledonia Corvairs. The Junior C team went on hiatus to make room for them.
