Shiva (; sa, शिव, lit=The Auspicious One, Śiva ), also known as Mahadeva (; ɐɦaːd̪eːʋɐ, or Hara, is one of the principal deities of Hinduism. Bhavabhūti (Devanagari: भवभूति) was an 8th-century scholar of India noted for his plays and poetry, written in Sanskrit. His plays are considered the equal of the works of Kalidasa. Bhavabhuti was born in Padmapura, Vidarbha, in Gondia district, on Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh border. He is described as an 'Udumbara Brahmin'. His real name was ''Srikantha Nilakantha'', and he was the son of Nilakantha and Jatukarni. He received his education at 'Padmapawaya', a place some 42 km South-West of Gwalior. Dayananidhi Paramahansa is known to be his guru. He composed his historical plays at 'Kalpi', a place on banks of river Yamuna. He is believed to have been the court poet of king Yashovarman of Kannauj. Shiva Advaita (Devanagari:शिवाद्वैत, kn, ಶಿವಾದ್ವೈತ, ), also known as or Shaivite '' qualified nondualism'' is a Shaivite school of philosophy from Southern India that was founded by Srikanta Sivacharya during the eighth century and followed mostly by Veerashaivas. Entry: "Shivadvaita" According to this doctrine, the Shiva and the Brahman are the one and the same. Srikanta Sivacharya (also known as Nilakantha Sivacharya) wrote a commentary on Brahma Sutras, which became known as ''Śiva Viśiṣṭādvaita''. Kanthar Nallathamby Srikantha is a Sri Lankan Tamil lawyer, politician and former Member of Parliament. Career Srikantha is an attorney-at-law. He is a member of Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) and entered politics in the mid 1980s. Srikantha was one of the ENDLF/EPRLF/TELO/TULF alliance's candidates in Jaffna District at the 1989 parliamentary election but failed to get elected after coming eighth amongst the alliance candidates. On 20 October 2001 the All Ceylon Tamil Congress, Eelam People's Revolutionary Liberation Front, TELO and Tamil United Liberation Front formed the Tamil National Alliance (TNA). Srikantha was one of the TNA's candidates in Trincomalee District at the 2001 parliamentary election but failed to get re-elected.
