Spyridon Vasdekis
Spyridon "Spyros" Vasdekis ( el, Σπυρίδων "Σπύρος" Βασδέκης, born 23 January 1970) is a retired Greek long jumper. He was born in Volos. He won the gold medal at the 1993 Mediterranean Games, finished tenth at the 1993 World Championships, third at the 1996 European Indoor Championships and eighth at the 1997 IAAF World Indoor Championships. His personal best jump is 8.19 metres (26 ft 10.4 in), achieved in July 1995 in Budapest. Konstadinos "Kostas" Koukodimos ( el, Κωνσταντίνος "Κώστας" Κουκοδήμος, born 14 September 1969 in Melbourne) is a retired Greek long jumper and New Democracy politician, currently serving as the mayor of Katerini, Macedonia. He was named the 1991 Greek Male Athlete of the Year. His family has hails from Agios Dimitrios, Pieria. Koukodimos, who was raised in Pieria, Central Macedonia, is best known for his bronze medal at the 1994 European Championships. His personal best is 8.36 metres, achieved in June 1994 in Khania. He is also a politician and former member of the Hellenic Parliament, elected for New Democracy in the Pieria constituency in 2007. Olga Vasdeki ( el, Όλγα Βασδέκη, , born 26 September 1973 in Volos) is a Greek triple jumper. She was the most successful Greek triple jumper and Greek record holder until 1998, when she won the gold medal at the European Championships in Budapest, being at the time just the second female Greek athlete to be crowned European Champion after Anna Verouli in 1982. Dimitrios Serelis (born 5 May 1980) is a retired Greek athlete who specialised in the long jump. He represented his country at two Olympic Games, in 2000 and 2004 2004 was designated as an International Year of Rice by the United Nations, and the International Year to Commemorate the Struggle Against Slavery and its Abolition (by UNESCO).
