Spring News is a Thai Television news channel owned by Spring News Television Ltd. part of News Network Corporation PCL. (formerly Solution Corner 1998 PCL.) Spring News debuted on satellite television via test broadcast on 5 March 2010. Its official launch of Spring News was on 15 December 2010 Spring News won the licence for Digital television for news and information channel from the NBTC's spectrum auction in 2013. Spring News started broadcasting on Digital Television from 1 April 2014 on LCN Channel 19. On 24 November 2016, Spring News inked a partnership deal with international news network CNN for using content, news footage and training for employees, and on 1 January 2017, Spring News began using CNN-themed on-screen graphics. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. Thailand's official national lottery ( th, สลากกินแบ่ง, ) is administered by The Government Lottery Office (GLO). The lottery is drawn on the first and the sixteenth of every month. It is one of only two forms of legalised gambling permitted in Thailand, the other being horse racing in Bangkok. The lottery in Thailand is hugely popular despite the low odds of winning and the unfavourable payout ratio. The payout ratio for the Thai lottery is 60%, as compared with world-wide averages of 74% for bingo, 81% for horse racing, 89% for slot machines, and 98% in blackjack (basic rules). Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system.
