Sporting Clube Petróleos Do Bié
Sporting Clube Petróleos do Bié best known as Sporting do Bié is a multisports club from Kuito, Angola. The club's football team contests at the Angolan Gira Angola and Girabola competitions. Following Angola's independence in 1975, the club went out of business and was later revamped by merging with Desportivo Sonangol and later on with Kuito's Direcção Provincial da Justiça soccer team and was renamed União Sport do Bié. Later on, it was again renamed as União Petro do Bié. In the 1990s, now being officially sponsored by Total Angola and Sonangol, the club was again renamed to its current denomination, Sporting Clube Petróleos do Bié. Gira Angola
Segundona aka Torneio de Apuramento ''(Qualification Tournament)'' or Gira Angola is the 2nd division of Angolan football (soccer). It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation and gives access to Angola's top tier football division Girabola. Unlike most league systems worldwide, Angola does not have a regular second-tier league system. The teams that are relegated from the top-tier league in Angola, the Girabola, are relegated to the provincial championship from which they originate, the so-called provincial stages. The champion of each provincial championship automatically qualifies to the Segundona, the league or tournament that qualifies to the Girabola. Girabola
Girabola, or ''Campeonato Nacional de Futebol em Séniores Masculinos'', is the top division of Angolan football. It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation. The league winner and runner-up qualify for the CAF Champions League. Girabola ZAP In January 2016, Angolan subscription TV satellite and cable provider ZAP, the Angolan Football Federation and the Girabola clubs, signed a three-year deal in which ZAP will have broadcast rights over all Girabola matches. As part of the deal, the Angolan state-owned TV station TPA will be allowed to broadcast one game per week on its free-view platform. Also as part of the deal, the Girabola changes its denomination to Girabola ZAP. Group Sonangol ( pt, Grupo Sonangol) is a parastatal that formerly oversaw petroleum and natural gas production in Angola. The group consisted of Sonangol E.P. ( pt, Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis de Angola, E.P.) and its many subsidiaries. The subsidiaries generally had Sonangol E.P. as a primary client, along with other corporate, commercial, and individual clients. 2005 Girabola
The 2005 Girabola was the 27th season of top-tier football in Angola. The season ran from 20 February to 23 October 2005. ASA were the defending champions. The league comprised 14 teams, the bottom three of which were relegated to the 2006 Gira Angola. Sagrada Esperança were crowned champions, while Académica do Lobito, Petro do Huambo and Sporting do Bié were relegated.
