SpongeBob SquarePants (season 8)
The eighth season of the American animated television series ''SpongeBob SquarePants'', created by former marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg, originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States from March 26, 2011, to December 6, 2012, and contained 26 half-hour episodes, with a miniseries titled SpongeBob's Runaway Roadtrip. The series chronicles the exploits and adventures of the title character and his various friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom. The season was executive produced by series creator Hillenburg and writer Paul Tibbitt, who also acted as the showrunner. In 2011, '' SpongeBob's Runaway Roadtrip'', an anthology series consisting of five episodes from the season, was launched. The show itself received several recognitions, including the 2011 and 2012 Kids' Choice Awards for Favorite Cartoon. Tom Kenny
Thomas James Kenny (born July 13, 1962) is an American actor and comedian. He is known for voicing the titular character in ''SpongeBob SquarePants'' and associated media. Kenny has voiced many other characters, including Heffer Wolfe in ''Rocko's Modern Life'', the Ice King in ''Adventure Time'', the Narrator and Mayor in ''The Powerpuff Girls'', Carl Chryniszzswics in ''Johnny Bravo'', Dog in ''CatDog'', Hank and Jeremy in ''Talking Tom and Friends'', and Spyro from the ''Spyro'' video game series. Paul Tibbitt
Paul Harrison Tibbitt IV (born May 13, 1968) is an American animator, television producer, writer, storyboard artist, songwriter, voice actor, and director, best known for working on the animated series ''SpongeBob SquarePants''. After ''SpongeBob'' creator Stephen Hillenburg resigned in 2004, Tibbitt took the position of showrunner for the show. He also took over as the voice of Potty the Parrot, whom Hillenburg had voiced until his resignation. Tibbitt made his feature film directorial debut directing '' The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water''. He studied in the Character Animation program at the California Institute of the Arts. In 2015, Vincent Waller (a creative director) and Marc Ceccarelli (a writer and storyboard director) took Tibbitt's place as supervising producer and showrunner. "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" is the 23rd episode of the eighth season, and the 175th episode overall, of the American animated television series ''SpongeBob SquarePants''. It originally aired on CBS in the United States on November 23, 2012, and on Nickelodeon on December 6. In the special, Plankton tries to convince SpongeBob to transform everybody in Bikini Bottom into jerks by feeding them his special jerktonium-laced fruitcakes in order to get his Christmas wishthe Krabby Patty secret formula. The episode was produced in stop motion animation at Screen Novelties, and was directed by Mark Caballero and Seamus Walsh, two of the founders of the company. The animation style was inspired by those of the classic Rankin/Bass television specials. Squidward Tentacles
Squidward Q. Tentacles is a fictional character voiced by actor Rodger Bumpass in the Nickelodeon animated television series ''SpongeBob SquarePants''. Squidward was created and designed by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg. He first appeared on television in the series' pilot episode " Help Wanted" on May 1, 1999. Although his name has the word "squid" in it and he has only six tentacles, Squidward is an anthropomorphic octopus. He lives in a moai between SpongeBob SquarePants' and Patrick Star's houses. The character is portrayed as short-tempered, impatient, arrogant, condescending, bitter, and misanthropic, and he hates his two neighbors' constant disruptive antics. Until 1993, the award was just known as the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program.
