Split Personality (game Show)
''Split Personality'' was an Australian television series which aired in 1967. A game show, it was hosted by Terry Dear and aired on the 0-10 Network (now Network Ten). An article in the 21 January 1967 edition of ''Sydney Morning Herald'' suggests the format was based on identifying famous people based on their hair, eyes and lips. The series did not last long. Produced by Reg Grundy Productions, the archival status of the show is not known, and it is possible the series was wiped. A game show is a genre of broadcast viewing entertainment (radio, television, internet, stage or other) where contestants compete for a reward. These programs can either be participatory or Let's Play, demonstrative and are typically directed by a game show host, host, sharing the rules of the program as well as commentating and narrating where necessary. Reg Grundy Organisation (founded as Reg Grundy Enterprises, later known as both Reg Grundy Productions and Grundy Television and known informally as Grundy's) was an Australian-based multinational mass media company, primarily involved in television as a production company but also in distribution and licensing. Lost television broadcasts are mostly those early television programs which cannot be accounted for in studio archives (or in personal archives) usually because of deliberate destruction or neglect. Common reasons for loss A significant proportion of early television programming was never recorded in the first place. Early broadcasting in all genres was live and sometimes performed repeatedly. Due to there being no means to record the broadcast or, later, because the content itself was thought to have little monetary or historical value it was not deemed necessary to save it. ''Leave it to the Girls'' was one of the earliest Australian television series. Based on the American radio and television series of the same name, it aired on ATN-7 and GTV-9 starting March 1957. The Melbourne run ended in October that same year, but the series continued in Sydney into 1958.
