The band's lineup consists of Spike Slawson, Fat Mike, Joey Cape, and Dave Raun. Chris Shiflett is a former member. The Gimmes work exclusively as a cover band. Cirincione. History The band's first release came with 1995's ''Denver'', a 7" single released on band member Fat Mike's record label Fat Wreck Chords, featuring two John Denver covers. Are A Drag
''Are a Drag'' is the second album by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, released in 1999 on the Fat Wreck Chords independent record label. The album is made up mainly of show tunes. The album's title alludes to the fact that most of the songs on the album feature vocalist Spike Slawson singing songs that were originally performed by female characters in their original stage shows/movies (with the exception of the Phantom's part in "Phantom of the Opera", "Science Fiction/Double Feature" which was sung by a female traditionally, but more popularly by Richard O'Brien in ''The Rocky Horror Picture Show'', and "Rainbow Connection"). The album's cover features the members of the band dressed up, in drag, as five characters from the musicals represented in song: a member of ''A Chorus Line'' ("What I Did For Love"), Annie Mudge from ''Annie'' ("Tomorrow"), Dorothy Gale from ''The Wizard of Oz'' ("Over the Rainbow"), Sandy Dumbrowski from ''Grease'' ("It's Raining on Prom Night"), and Dr. ... Swingin' Utters (album)
''Swingin' Utters'' is an album by American punk rock band Swingin' Utters, released in 2000. It was produced by Ryan Greene, and has a folkier sound than the band's previous albums. Critical reception '' The Pembroke Observer'' wrote that "the opening track, 'Pills and Smoke', is immediately so retro sounding that it could reel anyone back into the days of crash and burn English punk rock, whereas 'Watching the Wayfarers' is a superb rockabilly, country blues number that's complete with mandolin and upright bass." The ''San Antonio Express-News'' wrote that the Utters "toss in elements of cowpunk, folk/rock and melody ... heirsongs stretch boundaries with instrumentation such as upright bass, violin, piano, cello and mandolin." Track listing All songs written by Darius Koski, except for where noted. # "Pills & Smoke" – 2:34 # "Taken Train" – 2:11 # "Watching the Wayfarers" – 1:55 # "The Note" ''(Max Huber)'' – 2:51 # "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" Teen Idol Eyes
Adolescence () is a transitional stage of physical and psychological development that generally occurs during the period from puberty to adulthood (typically corresponding to the age of majority). Adolescence is usually associated with the teenage years, but its physical, psychological or cultural expressions may begin earlier and end later. Puberty now typically begins during preadolescence, particularly in females. Physical growth (particularly in males) and cognitive development can extend past the teens. Age provides only a rough marker of adolescence, and scholars have not agreed upon a precise definition. Some definitions start as early as 10 and end as late as 25 or 26. The World Health Organization definition officially designates an adolescent as someone between the ages of 10 and 19. Biological development Puberty in general Puberty is a period of several years in which rapid physical growth and psychological changes occur, culminating in sexual maturity. The avera ... Five Lessons Learned

Speaking about the album, guitarist Joey Cape said in an interview that "we always cover songs that one might consider to be guilty pleasures. 'Beautiful' clearly fits the bill. It is a great song but not necessarily something a fan of any of our bands would even consider." The title is a reference to Devo's album '' Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!''. The album continues the band's tradition of marrying cover versions with elements of classic punk songs. For example, this album's version of "Speechless" borrows the intro to "Sonic ...
