Ishwardas Rohani (30 June 1946 – 5 November 2013) was an Indian politician of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was born on 30 June 1946 in Karachi. He was elected to the assembly from Jabalpur. He has been the Assembly Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, since 2003. He was the Deputy Speaker from 1998 to 2003. He was also among the founding members of BJP. Personal life Mr. Rohani was born in Karachi in 1946. He migrated with his family to Jabalpur during the Partition, a year later. His son Ashok Rohani is an active and famous politician in Jabalpur, India. Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in November 1998. The Indian National Congress won a majority of seats and Digvijaya Singh was sworn in as the new Chief Minister for the second time. These were the last elections to the legislative assembly before the passage of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000, which carved out the new state of Chhattisgarh from Madhya Pradesh. Shriyut Sriniwas Tiwari (17 September 1926 – 19 January 2018) was a politician from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, India. He had a long career in Madhya Pradesh state politics. He was a six-time member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. For most of his political career, he was a member of the Indian National Congress, and had stints in Socialist Party and Samyukta Socialist Party in his younger days. He also served as a member of the Vindhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly between 1952 and 1956, before it was merged into Madhya Pradesh.
