Sparsh Shah is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and inspirational speaker from New Jersey, US. He was born in 2003 in Iselin, New Jersey, to a family of Indian descent. Sparsh has a very rare disorder Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bone Disorder. He had over 35 broken bones in his body at the time of birth. As of 2020, he has suffered from 125 fractures. He has also been a motivational speaker, aiming to changing many lives through his music and speech. He was featured in World's Greatest Motivators, Little Big Shots and Kaun Banega Crorepati. He is known for his viral cover video of Eminem's "Not Afraid" song. A documentary film Brittle Bone Rapper was made on his journey. He had visited India in 2019 and had an interview with Republic TV journalist Arnab Goswami. Osteogenesis imperfecta (; OI), colloquially known as brittle bone disease, is a group of genetic disorders that all result in bones that break easily. The range of symptoms—on the skeleton as well as on the body's other organs—may be mild to severe. Brittle Bone Rapper is a 24-minute documentary film about Sparsh Shah, a young rapper from New Jersey who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bone Disorder. Unusually the film was commissioned by an independent producer as opposed to a broadcaster, media corporation or brand. It is the first original documentary commission from London and Los Angeles-based Little Dot Studios. It shows how Sparsh Shah was inspired by Eminem to take up rap and how he had early success in social media with a cover version of an Eminem song. The action revolves around a life-saving operation 14 year old Sparsh has to have in the run-up to performing and being honored at the Champions of Hope awards ceremony in Los Angeles in 2017. Republic TV is a free-to-air Indian right-wing English-language news channel launched in May 2017.
