Sparkle McKnight
Sparkle Denise McKnight (born 21 December 1991) is a Trinidadian athlete specialising in the 400 metres hurdles. She represented her country at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships in Athletics reaching the semifinals on the second occasion. She was a reserve member of the Trinidadian 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics but ultimately was not chosen to compete. However, she did compete in the 400 m hurdles at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics. 2012 NACAC Under-23 Championships In Athletics
The 2012 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics were held at the Centro Paralímpico Nacional in Irapuato, Mexico from 6 to 8 July. It was the seven edition of the biennial athletics competition for NACAC area athletes under 23 years of age. A total of 44 track and field events were contested, divided evenly between the sexes. It was the third time that Mexico had hosted the event, having done so in 2000 and 2008. Over 400 athletes from 23 nations competed at the championships. Eleven championship records were broken at the competition, with particularly strong performances in the sprint events. Jason Rogers equalled the 100 metres record while Auriyall Scott improved the women's time. The 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics was an international athletics competition for athletes under the age of 20 which was held at the Moncton Stadium in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada from 19 to 25 July 2010. A total of 44 athletics events were contested at the Championships, 22 by male and 22 by female athletes. It was the second time that the event took place in Canada, after the 1988 edition in Sudbury. This became the last event announced by Scott Davis. Vieux Fort is a town located near the southernmost point of Saint Lucia, a Caribbean island nation. It is named after a fort that used to watch out towards Saint Vincent towards the south. The population of the town was 4,574 in 2010, while the surrounding district of Vieux Fort has a total population of about 15,132 in 2010.
