''The Eyes Leave a Trace'' (Spanish: ''Los ojos dejan huellas'') is a 1952 Spanish-Italian thriller film directed by José Luis Sáenz de Heredia.Mira p.237 It stars Italian actor Raf Vallone and his wife Elena Varzi. It was co-produced in Italy, where it is known as ''Uomini senza pace'' ("Men without peace"). It was shot at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome and on location in Madrid. The film's sets were designed by the art director Ramiro Gómez. Synopsis Martin, a former lawyer dismissed from the bar and converted into a perfume salesman, works with Roberto, a brilliant and intelligent classmate. He falls in love with his partner's wife. Annabella (born Suzanne Georgette Charpentier, 14 July 1907 – 18 September 1996) was a French cinema actress who appeared in 46 films between 1927 and 1952, including some Hollywood films during the late 1930s and 1940s. Life and career Annabella was born in Paris, France. Annabella's chance to enter films came when her father entertained a film producer, who gave her a small part in Abel Gance's great classic ''Napoléon'' (1927). She was not critically acclaimed until she starred in René Clair's ''Le Million'' (1931), and over the following decade established herself as one of France's most popular cinema actresses. For ''Veille d'armes'' (1935), she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival in 1936. She was cast as the female lead in the British-made film '' Wings of the Morning'' (1937) with Henry Fonda. Flamenco
Flamenco (), in its strictest sense, is an art form based on the various folkloric music traditions of southern Spain, developed within the gitano subculture of the region of Andalusia, and also having historical presence in Extremadura and Murcia. In a wider sense, it is a portmanteau term used to refer to a variety of both contemporary and traditional musical styles typical of southern Spain. Flamenco is closely associated to the gitanos of the Romani ethnicity who have contributed significantly to its origination and professionalization. However, its style is uniquely Andalusian and flamenco artists have historically included Spaniards of both gitano and non-gitano heritage. Edgar Neville Romrée, Count of Berlanga de Duero (28 December 1899 – 23 April 1967) was a Spanish playwright and film director, a member of the "other" Generation of '27. Biography Neville was born in Madrid but lived in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood in the 1930s, in the period of the dubbed Spanish language, Spanish versions of the studios' English-language films. He wrote dialogue for MGM's Spanish language films, and won acclaim for his script adapted from George Hill's ''The Big House'' (1930). During the Spanish Civil War, Neville made a few short propaganda films for the Francoist, Nationalist side. He also made three movies in Rome. The films he directed in the 1940s and 1950s mixed Realism (arts), realism and romanticism, but did not perform particularly well at the box-office. Manuela Ruiz Penella (2 March 1931 – 27 August 2007), better known as Emma Penella, was a Spanish film and television actress. Biography Manuela Ruiz Penella was born on 2 March 1931 in Madrid, the child of far-right politician Ramón Ruiz Alonso and actress Magdalena Penella Silva, thus she was also the granddaughter of actor Manuel Penella Moreno. Her younger sisters Elisa ("Elisa Montés") and Teresa ("Terele Pávez") also followed the family's acting footsteps. The three sisters renounced to using the Ruiz family name as an artistic name, in the wake of their father's involvement in the murder of Federico García Lorca.
