Space-Men
''Space-Men'' (a.k.a. ''Assignment: Outer Space'' in the United States) is a 1960 Italian science fiction film directed by Antonio Margheriti. The film stars Rik Van Nutter and co-stars Gabriella Farinon, David Montresor, Archie Savage, and Alain Dijon. The film was released in the United States in 1961 by American International Pictures. ''Space-Men''s storyline recounts a mission in the 22nd century aboard an orbiting space station. The mission involves a risky effort by its crew to redirect a malfunctioning spaceship that threatens to destroy the Earth. Plot In 2116, ''Interplanetary Chronicle of New York'' reporter Ray Peterson launches aboard the spaceship Bravo Zulu 88, joining the crew of an orbiting space station. Peterson is assigned to write a story about the "infra-radiation flux in Galaxy M12", but soon tension develops between Peterson and the station commander. Antonio Margheriti
Antonio Margheriti (19 September 1930 – 4 November 2002), also known under the pseudonyms Anthony M. Dawson and Antony Daisies ("daisies" is "margherite" in Italian), was an Italians, Italian filmmaker. Margheriti worked in many different film genre, genres in the Italian film industry, and was known for his sometimes derivative but often stylish and entertaining science fiction film, science fiction, sword and sandal, horror film, horror/giallo, Eurospy, Spaghetti Western, Vietnam War film, Vietnam War and Action film, action movies that were released to a wide international audience. He died in 2002. Early life and career Antonio Margheriti was born in Rome on 19 September 1930. Frederick Allen Nutter (May 1, 1929 – October 15, 2005), known professionally as Rik Van Nutter, was an American actor who appeared in many minor films and the James Bond picture '' Thunderball''. Career He is best known for playing the third version of Felix Leiter in the James Bond film '' Thunderball'' (1965). He also had a role alongside Peter Ustinov in '' Romanoff and Juliet'' (1961), and his later films included '' Foxbat'' (1977) with Henry Silva and Vonetta McGee and the Jim Brown WW2 adventure '' Pacific Inferno'' (1979). Gabriella Farinon (born 17 August 1941) is an Italian television and radio presenter and actress.
