SpVgg SV Weiden, formerly just SpVgg Weiden, is a German association football club from the city of Weiden, Bavaria. Playing in the tier-four Regionalliga Süd in 2010–11, the club had to declare insolvency after being more than Euro 1 million in debt. Unable to raise enough funds to continue competing in the league, Weiden declared on 30 November 2010 that it would withdraw its Regionalliga team and thereby automatically be relegated. All games for the club in the 2010–11 season were declared void. History The side originated with the 1912 establishment of a football department in the gymnastics club ''Turnerbund Weiden''. The footballers became independent on 19 January 1924 and enjoyed some early success in capturing local titles in 1924 and 1931, gaining promotion to the ''Bezirksliga Bayern'' for one season. Sport- und Schwimmverein Jahn Regensburg e. V., commonly known as SSV Jahn Regensburg, Jahn Regensburg, SSV Jahn or simply Jahn is a German football club based in Regensburg, Bavaria. The club is based on a gymnastics club founded in 1886 as ''Turnerbund Jahn Regensburg'' which took its name from Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, whose ideas of gymnastics greatly influenced German sport in the 19th century. The football department was created in 1907. The 2015–16 season of the Bayernliga, the second highest association football league in Bavaria, was the eighth season of the league at tier five (V) of the German football league system and the 71st season overall since establishment of the league in 1945. The league season started on 17 July 2015 and ended on 21 May 2016. It was interrupted by a winter break, which lasted from early December 2015 to late February 2016. Modus The northern and southern divisions of the Bayernliga consist of 18 clubs each. Clubs in each division will play each other in a home-and-away format with no league games played between clubs from different divisions during the regular season. Tomáš Galásek (; born 15 January 1973) is a Czech former football player and current manager. He was a holding midfielder who was also strong as a centre-back. Club career Galásek started his career with Banik Ostrava in 1991, before moving to Willem II Tilburg in 1997. Gino Lettieri (born 23 December 1966) is a professional football manager who is the current manager of Lithuanian club FK Panevėžys. He is an Italian national, but was born in Switzerland.
