Southwestern Cup
The South West Cup (german: Südwestpokal) is one of the 21 regional cup competitions of German football. The winner of the competition gains entry to the first round of the German Cup. It is limited to clubs from the Rheinhessen-Pfalz region of Rhineland-Palatinate, however, teams from the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga are not permitted to compete. It is one of two cup competitions in the state, the other being the Rhineland Cup, which covers roughly the northern half of the state. The competition is sponsored by the Bitburger brewery and carries the name Bitburger-Verbandspokal. It is operated by the South West German Football Association, the SWFV. Verbandsliga Südwest
The Verbandsliga Südwest is a German amateur football division administered by the Southwest German Football Association, one of the 21 German state football associations. Being the top flight of the Southwestern state association, the Verbandsliga is a level 6 division of the German football league system. Overview The Amateurliga Südwest was formed in 1952 in the southern half of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Before its inception, three separate leagues operated in the area as the highest level of play. The league was a feeder league to the 2. Oberliga Südwest. From 1952 until the establishment of the Oberliga Südwest in 1978, it was the third tier of the football league system. SC Hauenstein
SC Hauenstein is a German association football club from the municipality of Hauenstein, Rhineland-Palatinate. __TOC__ History ''Sport-Club Hauenstein'' was established on 24 March 1919 at the "Gasthaus Zum Schwaninn". The club merged with ''DJK Hauenstein'' on 7 November 1930, but as a faith-based club, was banned in 1935 as politically undesirable under the Nazi regime. FK Pirmasens is a German association football club in Pirmasens, Rhineland-Palatinate. The team was formed as the football section of the gymnastics and sports club TV Pirminia Pirmasens in 1903 and became independent in 1914. They took on their current name in 1925. The SpVgg Edenkoben, formerly the SV Edenkoben, is a German association football club from the town of Edenkoben, Rhineland-Palatinate.
