South Korea women's national goalball team is the women's national team of South Korea. Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment. It takes part in international competitions. A goalball-specific national association was formed in February 2006, although the country hosted the Paralympic Games eighteen years before. Paralympic Games 1988 Seoul As the host nation, the team competed in the 1988 Summer Paralympics, from 15 to 24 October 1988, in Seoul, South Korea. There were fourteen men's and eight women's teams. This was the first time the term "Paralympic" came into official use. Goalball
Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment. Participants compete in teams of three, and try to throw a ball that has bells embedded inside of it into the opponents' goal. The ball is thrown by hand and never kicked. Using ear-hand coordination, originating as a rehabilitation exercise, the sport has no able-bodied equivalent. Able-bodied athletes are also blindfolded when playing this sport. Played indoors, usually on a volleyball court, games consist of twelve-minute halves (formerly ten-minute halves) with three-minute half-time. Where there is a tie, golden goal overtime occurs in the form of two three-minute periods (and a second three-minute half-time). If the tie persists, a paired shootout ('extra throws' and 'sudden death extra throws') determines the winner. Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a visual impairment, vision impairment. Australia commenced its involvement in the sport in 1980. Its women's team has completed in trans-Tasman competitions, the International Blind Sports Federation, IBSA World Goalball Championships, and the :Goalball at the Summer Paralympics, Paralympic Games. About 2015, the women's squad adopted the name 'Aussie Belles', whilst the Australia men's national goalball team, men's squad became 'Aussie Storm'. Turkish Blind Sports Federation
The Turkish Blind Sports Federation ( tr, Türkiye Görme Engelliler Spor Federasyonu, GESF) is the governing body to encourage and develop the sport for the blind and vision-impaired in Turkey. It is a member of the International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). In 1990, the Turkish Disabled Sports Federation was formed, and the Blind Sport Federation was created as part of this organization in Ankara.
