South Carolina Highway 903 (SC 903) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It connects Lancaster to Darlington, Florence, and the Grand Strand. Route description SC 903 is a two-lane rural highway, from Catarrh to Lancaster. Control cities listed southbound include Myrtle Beach. History Established either in 1929 or 1930 as a new primary routing, it traversed from SC 35 in Catarrh to SC 9 in Midway. In 1949, SC 903 was extended north to its current northern terminus in Lancaster, replacing an old alignment of SC 9. South Carolina Highway 9 (SC 9) is a major state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway travels from Cherry Grove Beach to the North Carolina state line upstate. The highway is currently the longest state highway in South Carolina. It is signed as a north–south highway, even though it travels in an east–west direction. Route description SC 9 begins at the North Carolina-South Carolina border, where the road continues as NC 9. This is about twelve miles (19 km) northwest of Spartanburg. The road slowly heads southeast to Spartanburg. Five miles into its existence SC 9 intersects SC 11 and then two miles (3 km) later, SC 9 intersects SC 292. After this, SC 9 enters Boiling Springs. South Carolina Highway 151 (SC 151) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. Known as "the road to the beach" by many residents of the Charlotte metropolitan area due to it being the most direct route to the Grand Strand, it connects the Charlotte metropolitan area to Darlington, Florence, and the aforementioned Grand Strand. Route description SC 151 is a four-lane and mostly divided highway from Darlington to Pageland. For several segments, the road is five lanes, with four travel lanes and a center turn lane. SC 151 starts in Pageland, splitting off from US 601 to bypass the town's business district. Heading southward, it also bypasses Jefferson, heads through downtown McBee, and bypasses Hartsville. In downtown McBee, the speed limit is 25 MPH, and on several segments of the route, the limit is 60 MPH.
