Sourabh Goho (Bengali: সৌরভ গোহো) is an Indian Tabla Player who performs Hindustani classical music and fusion music. He belongs to Farukhabad gharana. He is the son of renowned Harmonium Maestro, Pt. Jyoti Goho. Early life Sourabh was born in Kolkata, West Bengal to the Harmonium maestro, Pt. Jyoti Goho and Vocalist Mrs. Bandana Goho. He studied up to class XII (10+2) from The Future Foundation School, Kolkata. Thereafter he has completed his graduation in B.Com Accountancy Hons. from the Calcutta University. From 2014 to 2016 Sourabh is studying Master of Business Administration from The Heritage Business School, Kolkata. Hindustani classical music is the classical music of northern regions of the Indian subcontinent. It may also be called North Indian classical music or, in Hindustani, ''shastriya sangeet'' (). Farukhabad Gharana
Farrukhabad Gharana is one of six prominent playing styles or gharanas of North Indian tabla , in Hindustani classical music, and derives its name from Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh state. History The Farrukhabad Gharana of Tabla was created in the 11th Century by a Rajput Court musician Akaasa who later had to convert to Islam and became a Muslim (Dastaan-e-akasa). He also changed his name from Akaasa to Mir Akaasa. He was the first to introduce bols into tabla playing. The first bols introduced in tabla were "TAT-DHIT-THUN-NAN". Mir Akaasa died in the year 1189 AD (Need Citation). He was succeeded by nine sons and one daughter. He passed on his legacy to his eldest son, Ustad Bilawal Khan, who in turn passed the torch of the gharana to Ustad Ali Baksh (famous for his kran bols). Shankar Ghosh
Pandit Shankar Ghosh (10 October 1935 – 22 January 2016) was an Indian tabla player from the Farukhabad gharana of Hindustani classical music. He was an occasional Hindustani classical singer where he followed the Patiala gharana. He was awarded the 1999-2000 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in Tabla, the highest Indian recognition given to practicing artists, by Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's National Academy of Music, Dance & Drama. He was at the ICU of the super-speciality hospital on E M Bypass, since mid-December and underwent angioplasty on 14 December 2015. He had been admitted to the hospital following heart ailments, was in coma for past 40 days and died on 22 January 2016. Bickram Ghosh
Bickram Ghosh is an Indian classical tabla player. Early life He started learning tabla from his father, Pandit Shankar Ghosh, who had played with Ali Akbar Khan. Career Ghosh has performed with Ali Akbar Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar. Ghosh performs in various avatars. His long-standing band, Rhythmscape, which performs neo-fusion music, celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2011. To celebrate the occasion Rhythmscape collaborated with Greg Ellis to perform in Kolkata and Mumbai, an event organized by Folktronic. The band also released their second album, ''Transformation'', which went on to win the Best Fusion Album at the Indian Recording Arts Awards 2012.
