Sounds Of Kolachi
Sounds of Kolachi ( ur, ), also spelled Sounds-of Ko Laa Chi, is a musical ensemble from Karachi. Sounds of Kolachi is a 10-piece group of vocalists and instrumentalists which blends raga and Western harmony, counterpoint and South Asian genres. The group uses South Asian classical instruments like the sitar and bowed sarangi, as well as electric guitar and a rock rhythm section. Ahsan Bari is the group's composer. Sounds of Kolachi has a quartet of male and female voices. Karachi
Karachi (; ur, ; ; ) is the most populous city in Pakistan and 12th most populous city in the world, with a population of over 20 million. Lux Style Awards
The Lux Style Awards is an award ceremony held annually in Pakistan since 2002. The awards celebrate "style" in the Pakistani entertainment industry, and it is the oldest event dedicated to cinema, television, fashion, music and film industry in Pakistan. Categories have changed over the years, but most are awarded by panels of judges who are experts in the respective industries, with some "people's choice" awards in the film and TV categories. The ceremonies, which are televised, have usually been held in Karachi, but in some years have taken place in Lahore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai. 17th Lux Style Awards
The 17th Lux Style Awards ceremony was held in Expo Center in Lahore, Pakistan. The award show not only recognized and acknowledged excellence in Fashion, Film, Music and TV but also created consciousness about various social causes, such as sexual abuse, child abuse and human rights. Unilever Pakistan Marketing Director Raheel Pasha also issued a statement earlier saying that 17th Lux Style Awards show was going to bring focus on ‘social awakening’ and ‘stand in solidarity with the nation’ at this ‘critical time’.
