Sorella Englund
Sorella Englund (born 23 December 1945 in Helsinki) is a former Soloist (ballet), soloist and character dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet. Pages 54 and 55. Biography The daughter of composer Einar Englund (1916–1999) and pianist Meri Gyllenbögel (1917-1956), Sorella Englund was born on 23 December 1945 in Helsinki, Finland. Already as an eight-year-old, she began training with the ballet school of the Finnish National Opera. She then studied with the Finnish National Ballet, joining the company in 1964. She moved to Denmark in 1966 when Flemming Flindt engaged her to dance in the Royal Danish Ballet where she studied August Bournonville, Bournonville choreography under Hans Brenaa. ''La Sylphide'' ( en, The Sylph; da, Sylfiden) is a romantic ballet in two acts. There were two versions of the ballet; the original choreographed by Filippo Taglioni in 1832, and a second version choreographed by August Bournonville in 1836. Bournonville's is the only version known to have survived and is one of the world's oldest surviving ballets. Tim Rushton
Timothy John Rushton MBE (born 18 March 1963 in England) is a British choreographer and from 2001 to 2018 artistic leader of the Copenhagen-based Danish Dance Theatre, Denmark's largest modern dance company. Tim Rushton was trained at The Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden, London, from 1979 to 1982, studying with Erik Bruhn, Frederick Ashton and Kenneth MacMillan. Later he danced with the Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet, now known as the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
