Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Kunchala Voravichitchaikul ( th, กุลชลา วรวิจิตรชัยกุล; born 14 November 1984) is an internationally elite badminton player from Thailand. She competed at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Asian Games. Kunchala Voravichitchaikul is a doubles specialist who is paired with Duanganong Aroonkesorn in women's doubles and Songphon Anugritayawon in mixed doubles. She is a veteran of one World Championship, the 2010 Paris Worlds where she failed to make the quarter-finals in both events. (She also entered the 2009 Hyderabad Worlds with Anugritayawon, but withdrew before competition began.) Rani Mundiasti (born 4 October 1984) is an Indonesian badminton player. Career Mundiasti won the women's doubles at the 2006 Dutch Open (badminton), Dutch Open with Endang Nursugianti. In 2008, Mundiasti was runner-up in the women's doubles with Jo Novita at the Denmark Open, Denmark Super Series, losing to the Malaysian pair of Chin Eei Hui and Wong Pei Tty in the final. Trupti Murgunde (born 3 June 1982) is an Indian Badminton player who plays singles & doubles. She is a Dhyan Chand Awardee. The shuttler, who was born in Pune, has won the 2009 National Championship for women after remaining runners up for 3 times. She was also senior nationals doubles runner-up and junior national doubles champion. Trupti is also a five times South Asian Games gold medalist, including twice in singles in 2004 and 2006. Known for her deceptive strokes, she has also bagged 6 international titles in singles (and a total of 10 including runner-up and doubles) in BWF events from 1999 to 2014. The Smiling Fish International ( th, การการแข่งขันแบดมินตันนานาชาติ ปุ้มปุ้ยแชมเปี้ยนชิพ) is an open international badminton tournament held in Thailand. It is one of the most important tournaments in Thailand behind the Thailand Open and Thailand Masters .
