Soran Ismail
Soran Ismail (born December 3, 1987 in Iran), is a Swedish Kurdish comedian, TV personality and author of Kurdish descent who as an immigrant grew up in Knivsta, Uppsala County and lived most of his life in Sweden. He is well known for his participation in several TV and radio shows with a humour profile and has toured Sweden together with Magnus Betnér with a show called ''En skam för Sverige'' (''A Shame for Sweden''). His various television projects include the documentary ''Absolut svensk'' (''Absolutely Swedish'') where he examines ethnic identity and every day racism in Sweden. This is also the title of his book released in 2017 (''Absolut svensk : en ID-handling''). Iron pipe scandal One late night in 2010, Ismail was filmed by Kent Ekeroth when arguing in the street with Ekeroth and two other high-profile members of the Sweden Democrats in an incident known as the iron pipe scandal. The #MeToo hashtag has trended in at least 85 countries. The campaign has encouraged people around the world to spread their stories of sexual assault. Before the MeToo movement went global, not many imagined that it would have taken off the way it did. The MeToo movement was founded in 2006 by Tarana Burke, an activist and survivor of sexual violence. The published report of a number of sexual allegations against Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein stirred up some Hollywood actors to get vocal against sexual harassment and their call for action to support in the fight against sexual violence. TV4 (Sweden)
TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years. The two channels of Sveriges Television (SVT) lost more and more viewers for a couple of years. After making schedule changes in 2001, SVT1 had practically the same numbers of viewers as TV4. From 2004 to 2019, the TV4 Group was a fully active member of the European Broadcasting Union. History TV4 was launched on 15 September 1990. ''Parlamentet'' ( sv, the parliament) is a satirical panel gameshow on TV4, which parodies Swedish political debate. It was first broadcast in 1999 and is currently in its 23rd series. The current presenter is Anders S. Nilsson, who has hosted the show since 2004. Current team members include Babben Larsson, Robin Paulsson, Johan Rheborg and Johan Glans.
