Sons Of Rock
''Sons Of Rock'' (1988) is Menudo's 26th album (and fifth in English). It featured Ricky Martin, Raymond Acevedo, Sergio Blass, Rubén Gómez and new member Angelo García. This is the first English album the band recorded of all new material, without any previous Spanish songs translated into English. Angelo replaced Ralphy Rodríguez, after just one year of tenure, Rodríguez's parents pulled him off the band citing cruel treatment by management. In late 1988/early 1989, ''Sons Of Rock'' was re-released with a new album cover. This time it featured a neon magenta color, as well as a new picture of the group and current line-up: Ricky Martin, Sergio Blass, Rubén Gómez, Angelo García and new member Robert Avellanet replacing Raymond Acevedo. Menudo is a Puerto Rican boy band that was formed in Puerto Rico by producer Edgardo Díaz. Referred to as the "Most Iconic Latino Pop Music Band", Menudo has been ranked as one of the Biggest Boy Bands of All Time by several publications, including '' Billboard'', ''Us Weekly'', '' Seventeen'', and '' Teen Vogue'', being the only Latin band on their lists. Raymond Acevedo
Ramón Enrique Acevedo Kerkadó (born December 21, 1971 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican pop music singer, actor, and visual artist who was a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo. He now lives in New York. He was a soloist when in 1985, Acevedo joined Menudo after his second audition when he was 13 years old. (Ricky Martin is three days younger than Raymond Acevedo.) In a concert in Japan, when they believed they didn't need a security deal, they were surprised when they were overcome by fans. Acevedo sang such hits as "En San Juan me Enamore", “Pañuelo Blanco Americano", and "It's You and Me All The Way", which became an international hit. Angelo García
Angelo Garcia (born March 28, 1976) is an American singer and songwriter of Puerto Rican descent, who was a member of Puerto Rican boy band Menudo from 1988 to 1990. Career A native New Yorker born in Brooklyn, New York, he barely spoke Spanish when he auditioned for a spot in the band Menudo after seeing a television commercial in Puerto Rico during a family vacation. After almost three years with Menudo, García parted with the band and signed on with World Wide Entertainment. As a solo artist he recorded several songs including "Magic", "Yours So Completely", and a remake of singer Tiffany's hit song " Could've Been" but it was his single "Don't Keep Me Holding On" (written and produced by Lewis Martineé of Exposé fame) that became a success. Ralphy Rodríguez
Ralphy Rodríguez (born April 17, 1973 in Carolina, Puerto Rico) is a singer/songwriter, musician, producer, and former member of Menudo. He replaced Charlie Massó. He joined Menudo in September of 1986, at a time that the group's worldwide fame was still strong, although it had begun to wane.
