National Assembly Of Quebec
The National Assembly of Quebec (officially in french: link=no, Assemblée nationale du Québec) is the legislative body of the province of Quebec in Canada. Legislators are called MNAs (Members of the National Assembly; french: link=no, députés). The King in Right of Quebec, represented by the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec and the National Assembly compose the Legislature of Quebec, which operates in a fashion similar to those of other Westminster-style parliamentary systems. The assembly has 125 members elected first past the post from single-member districts. The National Assembly was formerly the lower house of Quebec's legislature and was then called the Legislative Assembly of Quebec. In 1968, the upper house, the Legislative Council, was abolished and the remaining house was renamed. The office of President of the National Assembly is equivalent to speaker in other legislatures. As of the 2022 Quebec general election, Coalition Avenir Québec has the most seats ...

Prévost (electoral District)
Prévost is a provincial electoral district in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada that elected members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the municipality of Sainte-Sophie. It was created for the 1973 election from parts of Montcalm and Terrebonne districts. Its final election was in 2008. It disappeared in the 2012 election and the successor electoral district was Saint-Jérôme. As of its final election, it consisted of the municipalities of Prévost and Saint-Jérôme. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, the eponymous municipality of Prévost moved from the defunct Prévost electoral district to the Bertrand electoral district; the remaining municipality of Saint-Jérôme then became a separate new electoral district in its own right, named Saint-Jérôme. The district was reconstituted for the 2018 election, with its territory consisting of the municipalities of Prévost, Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, Sainte-Sophie, Saint-Hippoly ...

2022 Quebec General Election
The 2022 Quebec general election was held on October 3, 2022, to elect the members of the National Assembly of Quebec. Under the province's fixed election date law, passed in 2013, "the general election following the end of a Legislature shall be held on the first Monday of October of the fourth calendar year following the year that includes the last day of the previous Legislature", setting the date for October 3, 2022. The Coalition Avenir Québec increased its parliamentary majority in the election. The Liberals dropped to their lowest seat count since 1956 and recorded their lowest share of the popular vote in their history; however, they remained the official opposition. The Parti Québecois had its worst general election result in history, losing most of its seats, but nevertheless managed to elect its previously seatless leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon. Previous promised plans for electoral reform were scrapped in 2021, and as such, the election produced a highly distorted ...

Women MNAs In Quebec
A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or adolescent). The plural ''women'' is sometimes used in certain phrases such as "women's rights" to denote female humans regardless of age.
