Songdo
Songdo (), officially known as Songdo International Business District (Songdo IBD), is a smart city built on of reclaimed land along Incheon's waterfront, southwest of Seoul, South Korea. It is connected to Incheon International Airport by a reinforced concrete highway bridge called Incheon Bridge. Along with Yeongjong and Cheongna, it is part of the Incheon Free Economic Zone. The Songdo smart city features amenities across the district. Homages of architectural hallmarks, including New York City's Central Park and Venice's waterways, will also be incorporated. Many of the buildings were constructed as LEED-certified space, the green building certification by the United States Green Building Council. Today, Songdo is a community of 167,000 residents located within one of three Free Economic Zones (IFEZ) in Incheon, South Korea. The project has been approximately 86% completed. Songdo Convensia
The Songdo Convensia Convention Center is the first project completed in Songdo IBD and opened for business on October 7, 2008. Its innovative design by KPF and Baum elicits thoughts of the Sydney Opera House and is already a landmark structure in Korea. The main exhibition hall has one of the largest column-free spans (472.4 ft) in Asia. Donated to the City of Incheon by Gale International and POSCO E&C and managed by Incheon Tourism Organization, Songdo Convensia now hosts international conferences, trade shows and meetings, and has even become a popular filming location for commercials and music videos. The Posco Tower-Songdo or Northeast Asia Trade Tower () is a skyscraper in Songdo International City, the world's most expensive private real estate project in the Incheon Free Economic Zone, South Korea. As of January 2025, the building is South Korea's sixth tallest, and has 68 floors. It surpassed the previous record-holder, Samsung Tower Palace 3 – Tower G in Seoul, when it topped-out in 2009. Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea
Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea () in Incheon, South Korea, is the focal point of Songdo IBD's environmentally focused green space program. It is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Nicklaus Design, headed by Jack Nicklaus. From the back tees, the course exceeds and presents a challenge to even the most talented golfers. Incheon Bridge
The Incheon Bridge () is a reinforced concrete cable-stayed bridge in South Korea. At its opening in October 2009, it became the second bridge connection between Yeongjong Island and the mainland of Incheon. The Incheon Bridge is South Korea's longest spanning cable-stayed bridge. In comparison, it is the world's sixteenth longest cable-stayed bridge as of January 2019.
