Song Man Lei
Song Man Lei (born 1966) is a Macanese judge. She is the first female judge to sit on Macau's highest appellate court, the Court of Final Appeal. Early life Song Man Lei studied law, earning a law degree and master's degree at Beijing University. Court Of Final Appeal (Macau)
The Court of Final Appeal of Macau ( pt, Tribunal de Última Instância de Macau; ) is the court with the final adjudication power on laws of Macau. Prior to 1999, the highest court was the Higher Court of Justice of Macau and prior to that the Court of Appeal of the Judiciary District of Lisbon in Portugal. Under the Basic Law of Macau, which is the constitutional document of the region, Macau remains the previous legal jurisdiction. On the other hand, the power of interpretation of the Basic Law itself, being part of the national law, is vested in the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China (NPCSC) in accordance with the Basic Law. However, the same Article delegates such power to the courts of Macau for interpretation while handling court cases. The Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal (HKCFA or CFA) is the final appellate court of Hong Kong. Ho Chio Meng
Ho Chio Meng (born 1955) was the first Prosecutor General of the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, having been appointed in 1999, and re-appointed in 2004 and 2009; he served until 20 December 2014, when he was replaced by Ip Son Sang, a judge. Ho was also the President of the Macau Public Prosecutors Commission, President of the Macau Justice and Prosecution Society, and Honorary President of the Macau Juridical and Economic Authority.
