''Something Wild'' is the debut full-length album by Finnish melodic death metal band Children of Bodom, released in 1997 in Finland, and in 1998 worldwide. Upon release, the album was met with universal acclaim by music critics. In 2020, it was named one of the 20 best metal albums of 1997 by ''Metal Hammer'' magazine. Track listing Notes *The songs "Touch Like Angel of Death" and "Mass Hypnosis" both each end at 4:05. Whichever song is the final track, after 1 minute and 55 seconds of silence, a short keyboard passage is played by Alexi and Alexander in unison. This track is officially known as "Coda" and samples a melody from the theme to ''Miami Vice''. Children Of Bodom
Children of Bodom was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo. Formed in 1993 as Inearthed, the final line-up of the group upon their split in 2019 consisted of Alexi Laiho (lead guitar, lead vocals), Jaska Raatikainen (drums), Henkka Seppälä (bass), Janne Wirman (keyboard), and Daniel Freyberg (rhythm guitar). The band released ten studio albums, two live albums, two EPs, two compilation albums and one DVD. The band's third studio album, ''Follow the Reaper'', was their first album to receive a gold certification in Finland, and subsequent studio albums acquired the same status. Their next four albums debuted at number one on the Finnish album charts, and have also seen chart positions on the United States ''Billboard'' 200. Jaska Raatikainen
Jaska Raatikainen (born 18 July 1979) is a Finnish musician, he is best known as the former drummer and co-founder of the melodic death metal band Children of Bodom from 1993 until his departure in 2019. He is currently in the project called Mercury Circle. Musical life His first instrument was the piano, and during most of his childhood also played the French horn in a big band – a fact which later led him to be introduced to Alexander Kuoppala. It was only at the age of 12 that he began playing drums; he had his first double bass pedals before he owned a drum kit. Janne Wirman
Janne Viljami "Warman" Wirman (born 26 April 1979) is a Finnish musician; he is the former keyboardist for the Finnish metal band Children of Bodom from 1997 to 2019 and currently collaborating with Warmen. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Henkka Seppälä
Henri "Henkka T. Blacksmith" Seppälä (Born 7 June 1980), is the former bassist of the Finnish metal band Children of Bodom from 1995 to 2019. He is also responsible for backing vocals both in studio and live. He is currently the bassist for the project called Moon Shot. Henkka is a very common nickname for Henri and ''seppä'' means ''blacksmith'' in English. The reason he has a ''T.'' in the middle of his name is his nickname being Torso. Alexander Kuoppala (born 11 April 1974) is a Finnish musician. He was the rhythm guitarist for the Finnish heavy metal band Children of Bodom from 1995 to 2003. He played on their albums '' Something Wild'', '' Hatebreeder'', ''Follow the Reaper'', and '' Hate Crew Deathroll''. He also plays on the Timo Rautiainen album ''Sarvivuori''.
