Something Positive
Randal Keith Milholland (born November 25, 1975), better known as R. K. Milholland, is an American webcomic author. His works include ''#Something Positive, Something Positive'', ''#New Gold Dreams, New Gold Dreams'', ''Midnight Macabre'', ''Classically Positive'' and ''Super Stupor''. In 2022, he took over as author of the Popeye (comic strip), Sunday edition of the Popeye syndicated comic strip. History Raised in Bedford, Texas, Milholland attended Harwood Junior High and Trinity High School (Euless, Texas), Trinity High School in neighboring Euless, Texas. During high school he won several awards for his editorial cartoons. He went on to enroll in the art department at the University of North Texas where he spent four years. Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse is an American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. The longtime icon and mascot of the Walt Disney Company, Mickey is an anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large shoes, and white gloves. He is often depicted with a Mickey Mouse universe, cast of characters including his girlfriend Minnie Mouse, his pet dog Pluto (Disney), Pluto, his best friends Donald Duck and Goofy, and his nemesis Pete (Disney), Pete. Mickey was created as a replacement for a prior Disney character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Hyman Eisman (March 27, 1927 – March 27, 2025) was an American comics artist, best-known for continuing '' Little Iodine'', '' The Katzenjammer Kids'' and ''Popeye''. Early life Hyman Eisman was born in Paterson, New Jersey, United States on March 27, 1927. Comic strips Eisman entered the comic strip field in 1950 and worked on several strips, including '' Kerry Drake'', '' Little Iodine'' and '' Bunny''. In comic books, he illustrated various romance comics for Charlton Comics. He was also the last artist doing '' Little Lulu'' before it was cancelled in 1984. From 1986 until 2006 (when the strip went into reruns), he wrote and drew '' The Katzenjammer Kids''. An interview with Eisman on his career appeared in '' Hogan's Alley'' #15 (2007). Heroic Fantasy
Sword and sorcery (S&S), or heroic fantasy, is a subgenre of fantasy characterized by sword-wielding heroes engaged in exciting and violent adventures. Elements of romance, magic, and the supernatural are also often present. Unlike works of high fantasy, the tales, though dramatic, focus on personal battles rather than world-endangering matters. The genre originated from the early-1930s works of Robert E. Howard. While there is a chance example from 1953, Fritz Leiber re-coined the term "sword and sorcery" in the 6 April 1961 issue of the fantasy fanzine ''Ancalagon'', to describe Howard and the stories that were influenced by his works. Midnight Movie
A midnight movie is a low-budget genre picture or distinctly nonmainstream film programmed for late-night screening or broadcast. Georgia House Bill 481
The Georgia House Bill 481, formally named the Living Infants Fairness and Equality (LIFE) Act, is an American anti-abortion law passed in 2019 that sought to prevent physicians in the U.S. state of Georgia from performing abortions beyond six weeks, except in special situations. The bill was strongly criticized and, notably, many celebrities in Hollywood threatened to boycott the state of Georgia if it were passed. Passed in 2019, it was initially ruled unconstitutional in July 2020. That ruling was reversed, however, in July 2022.
