Solbjerg Park Cemetery ( da, Solbjerg Parkkirkegård) Is a 19-hectare cemetery in Frederiksberg in the western outskirts of inner Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 1865, it is one of three cemeteries in Frederiksberg Municipality Frederiksberg Kommune is a Municipalities of Denmark, municipality (Danish language, Danish, ''Commune (subnational entity), kommune'') on the island of Zealand (Denmark), Zealand (''Sjælland'') in Denmark. History The cemetery was established in 1863 and was originally called Frederksberg Assistens Cemetery (''Frederiksberg Assistens Kirkegård'') but also referred to as Fasan Cemetery (''Fasankirkegården''). Ib Eisner
Ib Eisner (19 May 1925 in Copenhagen, Denmark – 7 April 2003 in Frederiksberg, Denmark) was a Danish artist. His artistic career started in 1945 with entering the Copenhagen Academy of Arts, where he studied in the classes of the Professors Kræsten Iversen (1886–1955), Olaf Rude (1886–1957) and Axel Jørgensen (1890–1963). In the early fifties he discovered characteristic motif cycles, which were to influence all of his work. From then on he mostly devoted himself to painting scenes from his immediate surroundings, which he transferred directly onto canvas on site. Eisner showed particular interest in the long-established Danish forest park "Dyrehaven", which offered the painter a wide repertoire of motifs for years. He also was interested in motifs of the popular amusement parks "Tivoli" and "Bakken" as well as in scenes from his personal surroundings in Frederiksberg and views of the island of Bornholm. Elisabeth Dons
Elisabeth Caroline Cathrine Dons (1864–1942) was a Danish operatic mezzo-soprano who performed at the Royal Danish Theatre from 1885. Thanks to training in Paris, she was later able to take on soprano roles, becoming Denmark's operatic prima donna by the 1890s. Biography Born on 19 April 1864 in Bjergsted in the north east of Zealand, Elisabeth Dons was the daughter of the landowner Captain Julius Dons (1830–1908) and Augusta Mariane Sievers (1833–1908). On the recommendation of a family friend, her parents enrolled her in the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Royal Music Conservatory where she studied under two of the best singers of the times, Leocadie Gerlach and Sophie Keller. After hearing her sing one evening, Johan Svendsen, who headed the Royal Danish Orchestra, invited her to complete her studies at the Royal Theatre where she was taught by Emil Poulsen (1842–1911). Helen Dohlmann
Helen Sofie Dohlmann (21 October 1870 – 27 May 1942?) was a Danish sculptor. Biography Dohlmann was born in Copenhagen in 1870. She studied with Paul Dubois and Jean Antoine Injalbert in Paris and later with Stephan Sinding in Copenhagen. She also studied painting with Richard Miller. One of her earliest works, ''Sorg, sarkofag med figur'', was exhibited at the Salon in Paris where it received a ''Mention Honorable'' It was later exhibited at Charlottenborg and in Munich. She participated in several competitions for public monuments in Denmark. Her works include a bust of hospital director H.V.S. Gredsted at the former Copenhagen Municipal Hospital, now part of University of Copenhagen's City Campus. She remained unmarried and is buried at Solbjerg Park Cemetery in Frederiksberg.
